Hometown Favorites
I thought it might be fun to have a consolidated thread about various "local" bands in our hometowns. Who's the newest hot undiscovered act in Dallas/Chicago/Buffalo/OKC/town-in-Aussieland/NYC etc...
I haven't gone out AT ALL here in Missoula, so to start things off, I'll mention a fun band from Albuquerque. They're called Lousy Robot and they have a myspace page. I actually know the drummer (he got his Bachelors of music at the San Fran Conservatiory and Masters at UNM) and went out to a show before I left to show a bit of support. Needless to say I really enjoyed their sound and they've worked with a few established folks in the biz. If you don't do myspace (even though you can still click on the link), they have their albums available on iTunes so you can hear the 30 second samples there. You can even buy a couple tracks for your cell phone-- how cute is that?!
So yeah, who's you're hometown fav?
