Hood Turn Signal Indicators
I'm dead in the middle of restoration of my 70 RR and am in dire need of either complete hood turn signal indicators or at least the electrical portion of the lamp. I tried to disassemble the lamp to replace the bulb and could not even unscrew it. Once I popped the connector off of the lens assembly, I still was not able to unscrew the connector. Any one have an outlet for the connectors or the complete lamps? Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.
EWWWWW! I had the same thing happen to me. That's a tough one to find, and most people won't separate a complete set up to sell a small part like that. Good luck man.

If you know anyone who has found any aftermarket hardware to get this thing rebuilt, I'd appreciate it.

Hey elcajun, Could be your lucky day. I had the same prob when restoring my 70! Luckily I found a set at Carlisle a year or so before and snatched'em up. Call KRUSIN MOONS (Dennis Mullen 814-255-7993). They have alot of that hardware for the bullet style. I would think they are similar.
New question: How common of an option was this? I heard (Urban Legend??) that the DOT asked Chrysler to discontinue them due to perceived safety (visibility issues). Is this real?
Good Luck

Thanks for the tip on Kruisin Moons. I will check them out. As for the safety problem, it may be true but I had never heard it mentioned before. Stranger things have happened.

Re: Hood Turn Signal Indicators
I have a couple sets of hood signals for 70 RR and gtx. It is the whole hood insert with the signals in the insert itself. Wires are all there and work fine. One set has one mounting stud broke off for the insert, but has nice signal housings. The other is in great shape and cost me alot to buy. Let me know. I bought these for my 70 RR resto, and have two left over. These have the correct #s on the backs of the light housings. I am not sure if housings at krusin moons have the correct #s or not. I do know that they are not cheap. Have a good one. jeremygrub@charter.net

Jeremy,
What kind of money are we talking about? If the price is within reason, I will consider it seeing that one of the mounting studs is broken.
