How To Lucid Dream
How to lucid dream

Here are the basics of learning to lucid dream. After
learning the basics you can learn more advanced techniques.
Although Lucid Dreaming is very profound, it is relatively
easy to learn if one is motivated and practices correctly.
The amount of time it takes to learn LD varies with the
individual. If you already have good dream recall, it may
take only a few weeks or so to learn. If you have poor dream
recall, it may take alittle longer ( maybe several weeks to
a couple of months).

1. Start recording your dreams in a dream journal. Learn
to remember your dreams perfectly. This comes about by
having the desire to do so and being faithful in writing
down all your dreams in your journal.

2. Before going to bed, and while falling asleep, remember
to tell yourself(with strong conviction and motivation)that
when you dream that night, that you will become aware that you
are dreaming, while you are dreaming. You can tell if you
are dreaming by reading a sign or letter in the dream. If you
are dreaming and you read some words, look away, and try to
re read the words, the letters will be unreadable or
scrambled. This of course doesn't occur in the real world,
so if this happens to you, it means you are dreaming. To get
used to doing this "reality check" in dreams, you should
practice it during the waking state, throughout the day.
Ask yourself 10 to 15 times a day, randomly throughout
the day,"Am I dreaming?" You should then read something
or look at a digital clock and do the "reality check".
If you do this enough in the waking state, you will
start to do reality checks in the dream world. You will
soon do a reality check as "practice", and will be extremely
surprised when the words or numbers on the clock are
scrambled on the second attempt to read them. You will
then know you are in a dream.

3. When you realize that you are dreaming, "stabilize"
(ground) the dream by looking down at the ground. When you do
this, try to see as much detail as possible and become
as clear and alert as you can. The world will then "light up"
and become very real. This does not feel scary as one might
think. Instead incredible joy floods you. You are then in a
virtual world where you can do the impossible, and the
freedom feels tremendous. You will become fully conscious
inside the dream, and will know that your physical body is
back in the real world, safe in bed, and that you can't be
hurt in dreams.

4. Next, feel something in the dream, listen, look around
you etc. Aliven your senses. Reach down and feel the ground.
See how real it feels.

5. Next, make sure you fly or levitate. Remember to tell
yourself because it is a dream, you can fly, then just wish
to do it, then do it. When you wake up, make sure you
record your lucid dream in your journal and include how
great the lucid dream felt.

More Lucid Dreaming tips and information:

6. In your dream journal, after you collect
10 to 20 dreams, make a list of some of the
most common odd and dream-like events that you
frequently come across in your dreams. Examples:
You find yourself wearing only underware at work
in your dreams. You see flying cows often in your
dreams. You find yourself flying in dreams often.
After making the list, tell yourself that the
next time you see one of these events that you
will then do a reality check to see if you are
dreaming.

7. After waking up from a dream, try to
re enter the dream. While falling back asleep, tell
yourself that you are dreaming. Visualize yourself
back in the previous dream, but with the awareness
of knowing that you are dreaming

8. Getting extra sleep helps with LDing.

9. Once or twice a week, wake up after 6 to
7 hours of sleep(set alarm clock), then get up and read or
think about Lucid Dreaming for 15 to 30 minutes.
Then go back to sleep telling yourself you will
become lucid. Visualize becoming lucid in a dream
as you are falling back asleep.

10. Tell yourself what you plan to dream about
before you go to sleep at night. Also tell yourself
what you want to do after you realize that you
are dreaming and become lucid.(of course stabilize
the dream and try flying first). Visualize what you
want to do.

11. Read about Lucid Dreaming and get as much information
as you can on the subject.

12. To prevent premature awakening from a LD,
remain calm and keep your emotions under control
in the dream. Also, spin around in circles with
arms out in the dream, or rub your dream hands
together. These are great techniques for
staying in the dream longer. Also, after
becoming lucid, keep reminding yourself that
you are in a dream. This helps to keep you
from losing lucidity.

13. Remember that in dreams, you can do anything.
You only have to wish to be able to do it.
