How old(or young) are they?
I haven't seen this question that I know of on any message board thus far.If it's repeated,forgive me.

Age was never really mentioned in either the cartoons are comics.(that I know of)
I was wondering if any attention was ever given to this subject by Joe fans.
What age would you guess Duke to be?Which Joes are the oldest?The youngest?
It's hard to tell from the cartoons.To me,most Joes seem to be late 20's or above.
I would guess Quick-Kick,Jinx,Falcon,etc.to be in their early 20's.From the cartoon,my pick for youngest Joe(19-22 in age)would be Cross-Country.Attitude and the hair I guess.

Yes, i believe you are correct about the ages of the joe's in the cartoons. I feel most are in their middle to late 20's and most likely Hawk is anout 35-40. Most have experance in other areas of training and lived a life before joining the joes.

Some of the Joes are getting pretty old. Duke's 2001 filecard says he has over 30 years of service. And a large number of Joes did service in Vietnam or elsewhere in Southeast Asia (again, according to filecards): Duke, Wild Bill, Spirit, Mainframe, Claymore, Payload, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Stalker, Shipwreck, Storm Shadow, and Leatherneck.
That would put at least some of these guys around age fifty. I don't think that's unreasonable; my dad's a 51-year-old farm boy and is anything but feeble. I'm sure if these guys have kept in shape, they can still serve effectively. Nevertheless, Stalker has moved from Ranger to EOD, a job less physically taxing, and other older Joes may now be taking a more supervisory role in their duties. (Then again, the Joes listed above are among the least likely to sit back and let others do the job.)

Well My spouse has 23 years of service in so far and he is 44. I guess it is hard to see the Joe's grow old, much less consider this at all.
