How to delete viruses?
2 days ago I used Trendmicro to find any viruses on my computer. It found an amazing 22 viruses on my computer. Most were Trojan Viruses.
When I tried to press the Clean or Delete button on Trendmicro, it said it was unable to delete or clean, because the infected files might currently be in use.
I have a Windows ME computer, and it has the System Restore function.
I found the infected files in the C _Restore\Temp area, and I do not know how to turn off the System Restore function. Or how to make it so the infected files are not in use at the moment of deletion.
Can anyone on here help me? Thank you for your time
easy. Disable System Restore before deleting the files, then restart the computer. After that, run a full scan and obliderate the remaining bits, if there are any.

In WinME goto System Properties,
You can get to this by pressing WinKey + Pause/Break, or you can Right-Click the My Computer Icon and select Properties.
Goto the Performance tab, then click the File SYstem button, then goto the Troubleshooting tab.
The option to disable System Restore is in there.
