Howdy from Southern California
Hi, Ladies,

My name is Daphne, and I was searching for another place to commune with like-minded ladies after the Ladies Against Feminism message board closed down, and I found this one, which seems like another wonderful safe haven.

I recognize Deborah from Texas, also from LAF, already. (Hi, Deb!) I am sure there are other fine ladies who frequent this board.

I am 53 years old, mother of one smart and sweet seventeen year old daughter, who is going off to college this fall. She is the light of my life, and a good Christian kid.

I am a single parent who has to work, but I believe that the Lord's pattern is for us to be wives and mothers at home. (I also hope my daughter finds a fine young Christian man to marry and fulfills that, although we are still trying to reconcile her academic gifts, which are very high, with God's will.)

Anyway, I am off to pick her up from school (I am on my own school's spring break now), so I will end this intro here. I am very glad to be here!

smiles,
daphne

Nice to see you again, Krista! I recognize your LAF username. Isn't it nice to have a lovely place like this to congregate?

Hannah, nice to meet you. I am truly looking forward to being a participant here, as much as I can within my teacher work week (usually about 60 hours a week).

Atlanta,

We live in North San Diego County, the Vista/Oceanside area.

Emilee Elizabeth,

I know I will find encouragement here, and I will see if my daughter is interested...she's a great kid and a good Christian, but not totally sold out to the mother at home concept...which I regret and partly blame myself for. I've had to work since our divorce ten years ago, and while I had a small business doing photography and graphics back in Texas, I decided to get a teaching credential when we moved out here (I wanted to teach just graphics, but have ended up teaching that and English 10). This has proved to be the hardest job, with the longest hours, that I've ever had, and I haven't done as good of a job as I would have liked with training her to be a keeper at home.

She's starting to learn some cooking, but housekeeping???? yikes!

smiles,
daphne
