Hydraulic steering
My Teleflex "SyTen" hydraulic steering requires excessive effort.
Both helms feel similar, so I assume no problem here. Hyd. fluid is proper. No binding in rudders or ram. No air or leaks in system.
No replacement components are available from Teleflex (obsolete).
Has a "uniflow" valve before the ram. Does anyone have information on this device or could it cause the steering difculties? Are commercially available seals (or whatever) available for refurbishment?
