Ice Fishing
Managed to get out for a couple of hours of ice fishing this afternoon and was rewarded with almost a dozen crappies. We fished a small farm pond in NW Indiana near the Grand Kankakee Marsh. All the fish were taken on beemoths. Not a bump on minnows.
billkay - How close are you to me? Did you ever find anything about that hunting land? We should get together and go fishing sometime when it gets warm. I use to catch some nice northern outta the marsh. Theres also a ditch down the road from the marsh thats pretty good! Let me know if you would want to do that! I'm right around the corner from you in Leroy. We fished yesterday at Pappy's. You probably know where that is. My deer processor is in Cear Lake, Andy's. Yeah, lets get together. I'm going to be hosting a post hunting season party here sometime in March, I'll let you know when. I'll be at the ATA Show in Indie the end of this week and the weekend. Maybe we can get together for a beer or something fter that. Do you ice fish?

billkay - Never been ice fishing before, did you hear anything about fish dying in Cedar Lake Indiana, I heard they were and they sent them to Indy for review by the DNR. Let me know if you find anything about that hunting land you mentioned on the NAHC bored. I would love to get together sometime and go with you. Let me know! My family has known Andy for years now and his son Randy! We processed our deer their this year! Im also really excited becuase my deer is done from the taxidermy I got this year! I had a pedestal mount done on the monster!

You need to start ice fishing. I heard about the fish kill at Cedar. They claim it was the big temp drop that did in the shad, which is probably a fact. Then the bacteria from the decaying shad began to devour the remaining oxygen in the area. You need to get a photo of that new mount posted. The land will be there come fall.
