 Intro the RPG
Right, for those who dont know what this site is about.....
A Role Play is where you take on the role of a character. You pretend to be that character and when you add to the story you will write AS that character.
Our Role Play is about the Marauders (pre Harry Potter era) - Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are in their 7th and last year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...they intend to have a blast, make it a year they wont forget.
With Voldemort growing ever stronger, it really will be a year that everyone will remember. Mysterious incidents, disappearances and deaths are on the rise, friends and families are torn appart...its hard to know who to trust in the outside world, and the fear is starting to take hold inside the safety of the Castle too. The question everyone is thinking, but dreads to voice is 'Will we survive to graduate from Hogwarts?'
Please remember that if you take a character from the book, you should try and keep to that character as much as possible. Dont go and make Remus evil just because you feel like it; if he becomes evil there must be reason behind it (plot wise)
There are certain terms/phrases people use in RPGs, and here are the most common:
RP/RPG = Role Play/Role Play Game
OC = Original Character (ie not in the real books)
Canon = what goes on or has been going on in the real books
AU = Alternative Universe: something which is like a different world...its not happened in the real books and probably wont.
OOC = Out of Character
IC = In Character
RL = Real Life
So, now you know what we're about, its time to create a character.
