Kamanu
I've been experimenting lately with recipes for kamanu (sacrificial cakes, baked for the Queen of Heaven.)

I'm working from a recipe for Welsh honeycake; I've modified it to be less heavy and more bread-like. So far, my ingredients include:

flour
honey
egg
apple juice
baking powder
powdered sugar
menstrual blood

I use these cakes both for communion and for offerings to the goddess.

Does anyone know of an authentic recipe for kamanu, or have you ever experimented with them?

Re: Kamanu
oh, gods, I don´t know why I just saw your post ... now...

Amazing that you are baking cakes for the Lady!!!

I have no clue on how to prepare Meso food, but I have a hunch that some kinds of traditional Jewish breads may serve as a fountain for inspiration...

There are the Yale Cullinaire Tablets by Professor Bottéro on some Meso dishes...

Kiri and Daryl can help you with recipes too!!!

regards,
Lishtar... who is red faced for being so late in spotting your post
