Korzon can't get enough The fact is Q can't get enough of the power he feels by owning this board. He loves the fact that he can kick/ban people with the click of a mouse. It's an ego boost. That is why he keeps reopening the board after he closes it. He finds out that he needs it more than the other people do. I could move boards on a whim if he closed this one. I don't care which one I'm looking at as long as the people are there. And believe me, people will move to another board very easily. He will never leave and concede this board to a better owner. If it ever comes to the worst, Q will close this board and make everyone move to another one, but I would say the chances of that happening are like 5% and 95% chance that he will leave it open forever. (close, open, close, open, close, open etc.) The fact that he can close and open the board repeatedly and still have people come to the board makes him feel better about himself. It's probably something that he lacks in real life. See, he can tell himself that people are coming to this board because he's such a good admin, or he is such a cool person that everyone loves to post on his board. The fact that he opened up a "flame Q" section and to have people direct their attention to him doesn't make him crumble it makes him feel better about himself. "Oh wow look at all these people who want to send me their comments, this rules" I don't like to take things to a new level usually but I will say this. He's probably got something going here that he doesn't get in real life. It is that which attracts him here and it is that which keeps him here. He knows he is not doing a good job at moderation here, he just doesn't care because if he did care, that would mean he is seceding some power to his posters. If he doesn't realize this, then I guess I can make some judgements at how intelligent he is too. In reality, the ones who have the power are those of us that post here on this board. We have decided to post here still while ignoring Korzon's lame attempts to moderate inconsistently. If we ever organized and all left this board, Korzon would close it in a flash and tell himself "I guess people are not interested in a good monk board anymore and therefore I might as well shut down this mboard for closure, they'll be sorry". In a way it's like a complex he has. After that or he'd feel REALLY bad because it's now apparent like black on white that a lot of people don't like him. The last poll that he held, "Should this board be reopened?" where most people voted yes. I'll bet he assumes that it was because he's such a "good" admin, and his board just "rules". The feeling of having "power" and "fame" is like a drug and Q is hooked. He just can't get enough. Of course all his power and fame is unfounded. Think of it like this: If Q closed this board for absolutely no reason, who would be found laughing the hardest? Me  It's pretty easy to change my bookmarks

not so sure > We have decided to post here still while ignoring Korzon's lame attempts to moderate inconsistently first thing : Q had the sense to appoint capable moderators (i.e. Zadkiel and now again Yeti) to the board ... second thing : do you think it's all mere random chance that most people post here ? imho 'club-effect' (i post here because so-and-so post here) can only account for part of it ... for the later part that is. do you think it's just because this board was the first of its kind ? would there even be a 'monk community' without this board ? (that is : would the flurry of other boards and sites have opened without it ?) Even though Q did not "single-handedly create the monk community", imho he deserves his part of credit, whatever mistakes he may have made... |

Re: not so sure Palop doesnt often flame but sometimes he isnt sure about you Q. Maybe you are just miss understood but sometimes everything you say comes out bad as if its a flame, or just rude. But at the same time this board is a no flame board, which causes lots of arguements and then you ban people. Palop posts here because he is known here better than on any other board. Never really had any problems with the moderators except for one small disagreement with Zadkiel a while back about a joke, but one of these days Palop is worried you will decide something he says is a flame and just ban him arbitrarily. Is that really the best way to run a board? No Palop doesnt have any experience doing it but if he Admin'd a board he wouldnt delete posts unless they were way out of line and if he did he would inform the public about it. That way no one thinks you are trying to hide it and people live happily ever after, the end. To be honest Palop has noticed no positive differences between the board now, and the old one where flames were "allowed". Seems like there are less posts a day here and there are a few band people. Not to mention a good amount of people dislike you now. Was/is it worth it? |

Of course I'm not sure But I feel my opinions and guesses are educated. What I've said is a gathering of what I've learned from posting on this board for the last year. |
