Learning to love Dear ladies, God taught me a lesson recently (which I'm still learning!) that I thought might be encouraging to someone. You know the poem, "Before it is too Late"? Well, after I read that poem a while back, I was really convicted about my hesitation to demonstrate love to a friend of mine. I thought I ought to give her a call to see how she was doing, but I just didn't want to! Seeing that I lacked love, I prayed to the Father to help me love my friend more. Praise His name; He did. And I was so glad, because when I called my friend up, she was really in need, and God allowed me to help her out. This would have never happened if I had remained selfish! A similar situation occurred more recently when God was again convicting me to reach out in love. May we all learn to give and give and give like Jesus. Let us not do it to make ourselves feel good or ease a guilty conscience, but give of ourselves out of LOVE. Atlanta
