Lishtar Needs Our Help -- and Our Prayers!
Some of you know me from postings on the Board and a couple of articles posted on the site about Sumerian magick versus the Simon NECRONOMICON. Lishtar's brother, Jose Mario, contacted me by e-mail to tell me that she is in the hospital at Lisbon. Below is a cut and paste of his e-mail to me:
Hello,
I am lishtar brother , and I send this e-mail to answer you that my
sister is in the hospital in Lisbon. She had some problems with her
blood pressure during the trip to Europe.
She is ill and I ask for all her friends to pray for her health.

She was suffering from some sort of high blood pressure-related malady while in Europe for the 48th Recontre Assyliologique Internationale. To all who read this, please offer up your prayers for her recovery. I am a Reiki master and I and my friends will be sending her healing energy. Oh Goddess, this is terrible!! My problems now seem so puny and petty compared to this... Nearly two weeks have gone by since your message was posted, Makaranda... and it appears that the board has been quiet since then. Do we have any more news on her condition???
If she still be in Lisbon... that is where I am sending my healing thoughts and energy to her!
And if any of you are new to us over the past 4 months, I'm ShamhatinTraining aka Melissa in real life. I've been a solid member of the board for over a year. However, I've been absent for many months now due to depression and self-punishing/defeating behaviours due to having been unemployed for over a year. I've been keeping myself from doing the things I love most because I felt I didn't deserve to enjoy them since I was unemployed... I've now got a temporary assignment that will take me at least through the end of the month, thanks to the gods!!

I'm new to this message board, but I've known Lishtar for a few years now; we used to send e-mail to each other. I recently came back from the Yucatan and decided to surprise her by joining her message board only to be surprised myself. Lishtar if you're reading this message, it's me Lamassu, you are in my prayers to our Lady Inanna for a speedy recovery and to return to us soon.

Hello, I'm new here but know Lishtar from a long time ago. I live in London, and saw her when she came to present an excellent paper on Inanna some years back.
Shocked to hear of her accident and just wanted to say that I wish her a speedy and total recovery.
