perhaps they knew each other
My great-uncle, who is still living and well, served in the 75th Infantry Division, 291st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion, seeing action in the Battle of the Bulge in December of '44, and the Colmar Pocket/Ardennes in February of '45. Perhaps he knew your father? Let me know if you would like to get into contact with him.

291st Regt
My father, Jack Graber, is a veteran of 291st Regt, I-Company. We often talk about the war and I have done some research of my own. What kind of info are you looking for? Is there a particular company? People? Places?

I will be happy to help where I can.

Regards,
Steve Graber

My father, Lt. Col Robert H. Sanders was CO of the 1st Bn from late '44 until his death in action Feb '45. I was just interested in anyone who may have known him-thanks

291st Infantry, K Co.
Hi Mr. Graber.
I am trying to find out information about the 291st Infantry, K Company. My grandfather was in K Co. and I would be interested in finding everything I can about it. I am also a novice at this sort of thing and hope I am not breaking any rules of conduct by writing you this way. Thank you so much, Gretchen

Sanders/Anders?
Bob...

My father served in K Co 291st during 1944-45. A few years ago he put some of his memories down on paper. He mentioned a Tech-Sgt Anders in his platoon, who was later given a battlefield commission to 2nd Lt when there were no surviving officers.

Do you think he may have meant "Sanders"?
