Looking in the Gift Horse's Mouth(Opening) COlony B4471. A Liason Colony between the CUP and Anahiem Electronics. Currently the station wher ethe experimental Ra Calium Class Battleship was being built. Four Jegans stood guard over this ship, it was 2 Am Earth STandard Time. Suddenly the airlock opened and 6 Zakus, 1's 2's, and a single Kai burst in closing it behind them. "Alright Guppies, hand over the ship and we'll get outta here, no trouble." The Kai said. It was holding a 120mm Xeku Machiengun, the magazine seemign quite heftty upon it's backpack. The other Zakus were similary armed with makeshift guns, a 360mm bazooka, heat sabers, MMP-78, MMP-80s, in fact the Zakus themselves seemed to have been cobbled togetrher from units of varying damage. One Zaku 2 actually had a Old Federation shield replacing it's shoulder shield. "Halt! Stop where you are and lay down your weapons or we'll open fire." The first of the four Jegans blared over his rattled comm. His rifle was pointed at them. "No can do. Maelstrom needs this to hold the resistance against Carthasis. Trust me, it's in your best interests as well." The Kai held it's hand up passively. "Open fire!" The Jegans opened fire with their rifles. "Damnit!" The Kai leapt, signaling the others to scatter. "NO Kills! I want incapaciation!" He barked. WHile all of this was happening, Maelstrom operatives were storming into the ship, taking the monitoring crew and test teams hostage for later release. The Zakus were merely a distraction. None of the men wore unifroms, much like their machines, they wore tattered rags for clothes, carrying equipment more than likely dug up, not bought. A Jegan charged one of the Zakus, beam sword drawn. Likewise the Zaku had drawn a heat saber. The Jegan slashed, the Zaku parried and cut the Jegans forarm off at the elbow. Bringing his blade up with the momentum of the swing he arced it down, punched the cockpit with his left hand and finsihed his swing, slashing the Jegans left forearm in the center and then both of it's thighs. The Jegan slowly fell onto it's torso, it's legs still standing. The Zaku just continued striding away. The Jegan pilot tried to open the hatch but it was jammed from the Zaku's punch. Instead he turns it's head and fired the vulcans at the Zaku, who ignored it as it spatterd the ground around him. "Godamnit!" The CUP officer punched his viewscreen. Another Jegan was similarly Incapcitated. Yet another had the entire Panoramic Cockpit ripped out and welded shut, just lying there on the ground as it's occupant spouted obscenities. The last was grappling with a Zaku 1. The rest of the Zakus were finishing the preparations for launching the Ra Calium out the Main Dock. Suddenly Cars papers and other non bolted down debris jsut started blasting out the Back of the colony as two Messers burst from the exploded Hatch the Zakus had sealed prior. "Thank God! Carthasis! Glad I'm glad you guys showed up, we ened some hel--" The man in the de-limbed was silenced by a Messer's beam rifle. "Heh...Can't have any damned Guppy witnesses, can we?" The Pilot of the first Messer laughed. One would swear the wicked blue machines frame trembled as he did so. The second Messer fired two more shots, killing the other two incapacitated Jegan Pilots. The 4th was still grappling with the Zaku1 when the Messer fired a shot at it, the Zaku moved twisting the Jegan and itself out of the way as best it could but the rifle shot grazed the Zaku's torso, melting armor and practicaly incinerating the cockpit. The Jegan Pilot heard the Zaku's last words over the comm. "Tell...the world...Aggh" He didn't get the chance as two more shots pierced his Jegan, erupting it in nuclear flame. "God I love my job!" He then opened up on the Zakus, which leap over a hill to avoid the fire, running to the Ra Calium. "Sir! It's ready to launch! Hurry!" A pilot of a F2 Zaku yelled at the Kai. "Sorry...Maelstrom needs that ship. We'd never make it just running. I'm staying to hold those two off. Go on without me. " The Kai's pilot said. "But Commander Gulstav!" "THAT'S AN ORDER, GO!" "Ye..yessir!" The F2 hurried to board the Ra Caloum. "Hold us off? Evolutionary scum like you are just an annoyance. Get him." The first Messer said over the comm. The Zaku Kai turned it's head slightly, the monoeye moved to see the Ra Calium launching out the primary dock as again air blasted around them as pressure baalnced out. "You Can't force Evolution...your leaders just want power, this has nothing to do with your cause!" "We can stop it though. By killing you all. And the Guv's be damned. Enough talk. I'll handle him, go for the ship. " The second messer lifted off as the first fired it's rifle. The Zaku leapt, catching the Second and oenign fire with the Xeku heavy machinegun. The messer blocked with it's shield. "Damnit! He jammed the arm!" The second Messer landed to keep the shield between them as the first Messer thrusted to catch up. Soon as the Second messer turned to fire his rifle back, he was met witha flurry of 120mm rounds, holing his cockpit and the suit stopped moving. The First Messer caught up, and aimed and fired the rifle as the Kai spun around and fired, the shot missed and hit the magazine as the rifle was shot apart. The Kai's magazine exploded slightly, not much ammo was left but it screwed up the head and shoulders. The Kai leap into the air, as did the Messer, dropping the rifle and shield. A bayonette flipped out on the Zaku's machiengun as he yelled and stabbed it forward. The Messer came in seemingly empty handed. The Zaku stabbed, but missed as the Messer slid to the right slightly letting the entire 19 meters of the machinegun pass through his underarm. He hugged the Zaku and ignited a beamsaber in it's back. "HEehehe!" The Zaku wasn;t finished though, reaching with it's other hand it grabbed the end of the machiengun, bending it around, caging the Messer against the Zaku cockpit to cockpit. The last image the Messer Pilot got was that of Gulstav giving him the finger, then the Zaku exploded taking the Messer with it. The men crewing the Ra Calium saw a flash from the colony. "Damnit....that was Gulstav..." "We ain't got time to mourn! There's a Carthasis Magellan coming in on the flank!" "I Got it!" Sudenly a Zaku 1 launched off the Calium's deck. "Damnit, Freelu! We lost Gulstav! Not you too!" "I ain't letting the Commander ride to hell alone! Keep going!" The Zaku thrusted full speed for the megallan, which opened fire. A shot blew a leg off. The Zaku kept it's balance and landed on the Magellan, Firing a shotgun into the bridge. It fired again into the main deck, then again. One of the main turrets swung around, knocking the Zaku off into space where another turrest aimed and fired, blowing off both arms "Damnit.." Freelu hit the pedals, thrusting full speed down the side of the ship. He arced around the end, and blasted himself straight into the main engines.
