Lub oil pipe
On the Yanmar 2QM20 a lub oil pipe runs round the after end of the block and I fortunately spotted that it was on the way out while changing the aft anode.
As it is rather oddly shaped, to remove it, you have to detach the exhaust manifold. In my case this had obviouly never been done as I had to cut away part of the quarter berth to gain enough space to pull it off the studs!
I spoke to John Skews of Cellar Marine of Porthallow, Cornwall (they are I believe the longest standing Yanmar dealer in the UK) and he changed the original steel pipe with a copper one reusing the original terminals to avoid further corrosion. What John does not know about Yanmars is not worth knowing.
