Lucifer's Garden

You stroll down the path
before me you stand
that shiny red apple
you've got in your hand
You offer it sweetly
with evil in your eye
Your voice is cold
as you tell me a lie

We walk by a tree
and you say 'what a sight'
but something about it
just isn't quite right.
You ask me to touch
the blades of the grass
but a catch in your gesture
confides me to pass.
Look at the sun
You say to me
but it's black and drawn in
how could this be?

The rain begins
smooth and warm
it's tinted red
'run' you warn

I waste no time
but still I look back
there you hover
planning attack.

What dreams you cause.
