Mainsail for sale
My old mainsail is for sale; it is by De Vries of Holland, is heavy, probably 9 ounce cloth, probably 7 or 8 years old and is in good order as far as stitching and integrity is concerned. I would prefer the sail to be flatter low down and fuller higher up, but as a racing sailor I am probably over-particular about sail shape.
If you want a good strong sail, very good in heavy conditions, a little too heavy for light conditions and a little too full in the lower part, it will be a bargain for you. It has a sailbag, telltales, luff slides for a standard mast, cunningham and flattener, three reefs, with spectacles, two halyard cringles in the headboard and a conventional footrope. It is full size and does not have a sail number on it.
