Max in the City
This will air Nov. 27th. Written by Ron D. Moore (did a great job with 'Ask Not'). I read some things about this episode somewhere, but I can't remember where. I'll find them and perhaps post them here (will be spoilers though). Anyway...more to come on this episode. It is currently filming according to Crashdown.com
MAX LEAVES ROSWELL--Feeling betrayed by Isabel (Katherine Heigl), Max (Jason Behr) leaves Roswell to attend the interstellar summit in New York City with the duplicate versions of Michael (Brendan Fehr) and Isabel who have a very different agenda in mind for the future king.
This is the second part of a two part episode. The first part is "Meet The Dups." Can't wait, sounds intriguing!

Max and Tess travel to New York City, where Rath takes Max to meet an enigmatic individual called the Emissary, who tests Max's claim to the throne. Elsewhere, Maria tells Liz about a rumor going around school that Liz slept with Kyle. Rath/Michael: Brendan Fehr. Lonny/Isabel: Katherine Heigl. Max: Jason Behr.
I'm pretty sure "RATH" is Dup Michael's name. Interesting about the whole rumor thing and Maria telling Liz about it... SOOO, this is the eppy it comes out in, huh?! Or will Max maybe know before this one, but Maria doesn't find out til this one??? Can't wait to see!

I read somewhere that Tess's duplicate has a little accident, which is why she cannot attend the summitt, therefore, Tess has to go with Max. Sounds like both of them have to impersonate their duplicate selves.
And I agree with you Tina, the duplicates look like they have much more "attitude," seem much more street-wise and tough then the pod squad. This one will be another episode we'll be talking about!

I heard that Tess will try to kiss Max but he will have a flash of Liz supposedly of when he kissed Tess from before. And he doesn't kiss her.. This is while they are in NYC.
He also tells Liz in the eppy. he CAN'T go back to being just be friends with her.
Here is something else I was thinking about .. FM said that they needed Tess.. He doesn't know how much he needs Liz because he has always had her.. so that could throw things off too. I think is balance is being thrown off here too.

Going to be an interesting two weeks. I'm sooooo curious about what The Dupes know/don't know about their destiny, if they had any contact from Nasedo, how they grew up, where they are from (NYC?), and how they learned of the existence of the others like them (their 'dupes'). These questions and many others to be answered in 22 3/4 hours!!!!
This is the little promo thingie that is from the wb.com The promo looks pretty interesting too, there are some tidbits that I missed the first few times I saw it. Anyway, looking forward to Monday night (as always)!
TODAYS THE DAY!! How exciting... I have been waiting for this one... I hear its really a good one.. Of course for shadowing it is the fact that the reruns are on their way... I mean if I wanted reruns all I would have to do is watch the tapes I have!

Pst - anyone not in the eastern time zone who does not want to be spoiled, move along please. I've seen it, I wanna comment on it.
Okay, overall a good ep. I felt like some scenes were rushed - Liz's confession to Maria, Max's phone conversation with Isabel, Ava saying Liz had a power of some kind.
So, what is Liz's power? Why does she have it (other than the fact Max healed her)? Does that mean Kyle has a power, too? Is this finally an explanation as to why Liz gets flashes from Max?
What happened to Lonnie and Rath? Did Tess blast them?
Where's Alex? And Kyle?
I loved the way Jason played Max's lack of confidence in himself. I almost could feel his paranoia in that elevator, then when he met the emissary. He seemed totally freaked by the whole three-D thing. Alot for our boy to absorb.
Loved the make up scene with Isabel. I hope the tensions lessen there a bit.
Loved Max holding up his fingers like antenna behind Liz's head. Nice to see him joke and smile with her. I can't tell if Liz nodded her head in answer to his question. I think not, and he accepted that. It didn't look like it devastated him - no kicked dog looks this time, Brian. Maybe the healing has begun.
The Candy Clanners are going to hate me for this one - you go, Brody! I love the relationship they're building between Brody and Maria. Just be careful - she's still a minor.
I like the whole explanation of why people are abducted. Clever.
I also like that Rath was mean to Tess. No, no, no, Brian, I don't mean that in a cruel way. Do you remember how rude Michael was to her at first? It kind of ties things together that his dupe is mean to her, too. Wonder what she did to him in a prior life... I also like that Max stuck up for her. What a nice guy...hmm, a terrific husband in a past life, I hear.
Well, I'm going to bed. I hope no one minds me posting before everyone has seen this. If you do, let me know and I won't next time.

WOW!!! Really liked this ep. Interesting developments. Loved Max's paranoia in the elevator. Cheesy "I'm the King of the World (Titanic)" line.
Ok, BRIAN ARE YOU LISTENING???? I really liked Tess/Ava in this episode--that's right, both of them. I thought it was a good episode for her, and she shined a bit. Midwest Max, also glad Max stood up for her and how she was there for him. I, too, wondered if she blasted/killed Rath and Lonnie at the end in NY. Hmmm... remember how we said maybe Tess/Ava were switched... and wondered why Tess went to NY instead of Ava--I think she did do something to them and just didn't tell Max about it. She went because she was stronger and could perhaps be of more help if needed. Interesting...
Karen, I totally agree--LOVE Brody! I think he is awesome and love the humor he brings to the show. Even the alien that possessed his body was nice. Really like him though and I, too, like the thing between he and Maria...though I don't think it'll last. Cute though.
Loved the little virgin high-five after Liz confessed to Maria.
Cute how Max put the two fingers up behind Liz's head. But I agree, Karen, Liz's abilities and her being "different" was too rushed over. Too many questions left unanswered. I also thought, so is Kyle different, too? I would think not since he didn't see any flashes or anything. But who knows. Also, and it appears Max knows about Liz being "different" because she said she keeps looking in the mirror to see if she looks any different...but I would have loved to see his reaction to that news (and how she appeared in NY) unless he knew all along, but I doubt that. AAARRRGGGHHH!!! WAY TOO RUSHED OVER!!! Hope we get more answers/more insight soon.
Oh, and I LMAO during the whole Rath/Lonnie Max/Tess scene in their "crib" when Rath asked if Max & Tess had done the deed yet. Too funny! And then I noticed Rath does this thing with his tongue (you dirty-minded people will know what I mean) and he did it when he confronted Liz in the hall at school, too! Too funny! Oh, and then the whole Rath/Lonnie makeout scene...LOL!!! And how uncomfortable Max & Tess looked.
Loved how gung-ho Max was when they met back up with Rath & Lonnie after going sight-seeing to the Empire State Building...he seemed in quite a better, less paranoid mood. Cute.
Couldn't believe Nikolas showed back up! Was shocked...didn't expect that I guess. Not then & there I guess...weird. He was so funny, yelling and cursing back down into the subway when Max & Tess were coming!
Oh, and loved how he put Rath & Lonnie in their places about being the "Royal Rejects" and how they got dumped in the gutter! FUNNY! WHOOO HOOOO...we knew our Pod Squad weren't the rejects/defectives.
L-O-V-E-D the scene when Liz hugs Ava and is all giddy with her...GREAT scene. Where is Ava going though? Will she stay in Roswell? I'm guessing not, but wonder where she'll head since Liz said good-bye and good luck to her. Nice scene to see though...Ava is a good person. It was heart-warming to see...as was to see Liz comforting her when she woke up from the dream/nightmare. Liz is a good person, too.
Good line from Isabel to Liz about her brother hearing her voice if anyone's no matter where he is. Great make up scene between Max & Izzy, too.
Don't know about the nod at the end about her sleeping with Kyle. I think she did slightly...which would explain her kicked-dog look after Max left. Will be interesting to see when/how the truth comes out because I just know it will. Can't wait for that.
Ok, sorry so long. Anxious to see what everyone else thought about this one. Hope to hear from others soon.

I totally agree that both Tess and Ava turned out to be good people. I also think Emilie has shown her versatility in overcoming her natural Austrailian accent with her "American" accent as Tess and her New York accent as Ava.
All of the Pods did a good job in their dual role and their New York accents, although Jason's dual role was limited.
I taped the show last night because I was busy and watched it this morning between 7AM and 8AM. I think I'll continue to do that because I'm MUCH more alert at that time of morning and catch more of the nuances and things you all talk about. I know, I'm weird that way.

OK... Here I go with my own two cents..
LIZ... I think she has powers because she DIED.. she said she was brought back.. Ava said she was changed because Max brought her back..(remember Max keeped on telling Liz to look at him and was really really out of it) I think the flashes he had weren't just because he was in love with her.. I think they were also her life passing by... Kyle didn't die. Max wasn't telling Kyle to look at him that he had to stay with him. Max was also not in love with him. And here is my other thought on Liz. I think she could be the bride.. Reasons: Notice how NO ONE has EVER addressed Tess as Max's bride.. Not Nick (who called her Max's girlfriend NOT BRIDE, WIFE, QUEEN ETC) and Not the one who was in Brody's body who was such good friends of the family. When he said he was at Max's wedding.. Brody didn't even LOOK at Tess... I mean wouldn't he have said I was at your wedding and looked at them both? The other thing is that the only time that

"BRIDE" mentioned throughout all the eppys was when BOTH Tess and Liz were present. (Maybe Mom O Gram put Max's young bride into a human and that Max would know her from the GOOD with in..just like they are supposed to know the Evil with in.. and maybe Tess was a decoy..) Zan was always waiting for someone else to come into his life. Well that someone wasn't going to show up because the REAL King all ready had her. Could be just a bit far fetched.. and me wanting Liz to be the one.. but well I just find it so odd that No one has called Tess by Max's wife or bride.. etc.. Not even Ava said anything about being married to Max/Zan in their other life. God the way the Dupe Michael treated Tess.. well thats not how you would treat the Kings bride...
I thought .. OH GOD I AM GOING TO SAY IT.. Tess was good in this one. (YES I am still standing!) I still think there is something up with her, but I am glad that someone is there with Max...

Good comments all around, guys. There was alot to absorb in this ep.
Tina, I don't think Max knew he'd changed Liz. I think he suspected something was up when she appeared in NY, and probably got the scoop when he returned to NM. Too bad we had to miss that. I want to know if Liz can do other things, or can she only communicate with Max. Just more questions.
I found Max's comment about Tess always trusting him interesting, because she has and I don't think we realized it until he said it. She hasn't been that trusting of anyone else. I just wonder what direction that relationship is going...(get the smirk off your face, Brian)
I also found it interesting that Zan was always waiting for someone. Definitely a foreshadow. Was he looking for someone in particular, or was his relationship with Ava something he didn't really want but was doing because he was supposed to?
Oh, yeah, the Nicholas and Lonnie scene - EWWW! I thought she was going to plant one on the little pip squeak. UGH!
I, too, like Brody. I didn't at first, but he seems like a gentle person and he has an interesting chemistry with Maria. They don't have the bickering banter that she and Michael have, but they both seem very sweet with each other. I don't think it will last either, however.
Okay, rambled enough. Damn - didn't find any blatant bloopers...
