Re: MissKatieMutated
Oooh I have my own lil Topic;)

Well so far there only seems to be Brian Kennedy confirmed to be playing around those dates but Id say by either next month or January for sure there will be a ton of shite going down and I'll post it up as soon as I here anything.
Its a pity your not coming over in December cause theirs tons of gigs going on all month including Shawn McGowen and tons of Ska gigs.

As far as places to hang out hmmm....
theres pretty much 3pubs on every street at the least (and yet they wonder why were all alco's). Some of the more Alternative pubs would be Bruxelles (The pub is split into three main areas: Upstairs is for
trendys and suits, dowstairs to the right is for Indie kids,
and downstairs to the left is a Rocker/ Alternative type
bar.),
Eamonn Dorans(alternative pub has gigs on there every now and then and its located in the infamous temple bar which means you might be paying more for a pint there than in the usual local),
Fibbers (www.fibbermagees.freeservers.com/),
The Foggy Dew (yet another temple bar pub, you get a good mix of people in there sometimes you get the older skins and that In there...Ive sat many a time in there underage drinking me Guinness),
The Brazen Head (its the oldest pub in Dublin, its been stood there since 1198. Its about a 10minute walk from the other pubs above. It plays traditional Irish music from 9.30 nightly and has a Sunday session from 12.30 to 2.30pm.)
The Auld Dubliner (located yet again in the heart of Temple Bar...begining to see a pattern here? Its a good place to go for the craic with traditional Music playing and has daily traditional bands playing upstairs).
the Voodoo Lounge (this is abit of a walk down the Quays from the city centre. Its got the odd live band playing every now and then and has the whole stoner vibe going on or maybe its just cause the only times I was there I was a little on the tipsy side of things....yer man Huey from the FunLovinCriminals owns it along with the pizza place next to Eamonn Dorrans, whatever thats all about)

Jesus that was a good bit to take in but I'll keep you updated on gigs and such as Im sure there'll be a few going on when your over. Hopefully a Blood or Whiskey show as those lads never seem to take a break.
You'll also notice when your over how much their ripping people off over here, A pint is pretty pricey these days.

Take care of yourself,
Miss M
