Missing IE6 Icon

Hi,

I am running Windows 2000 Pro with SP3 and upon installing IE6 SP1 the desktop icon for IE is missing. Has anyone seen this before and does anyone know now to fix it? I have tried repairing the installation and rolling back to previous and reinstalling but no joy so far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

could you just not create a shortcut instead ? I know this isn't ideal but is it a major deal ?

Yes I could (in fact I did) but in any case it doesn't matter now since I've fixed it. As it turns out there is an option under the Advanced tab in Internet Properties to Display the IE Icon on the desktop. Once I ticked it there it was.
Not a major deal of course but when something isn't working as I know it should I like to find a solution and then if this happens to the PCs I take care of at work I'll know how to fix it.
