Re: Missouri Valley College
Is any team in the HAAC hotter than Evangel right now?
=========
Kramer...I really like the fact there is another poster here that is a fan of a HAAC team other than MNU, Jewell and Evangel.

Tell me more about MO Valley. I missed the game they played at Cook Ctr this year.

They've obviously got some firepower to put up 99 pts on the road against a top team.

Best Team in the League
Don't look now, but the Vikings have ten returning from last year's squad!

Long time, no hear, Kramer.
How are things? Getting excited about Mo Valley's 2004 squad, eh? Cool.

Returning starters are great, unless they all suck.

They can score, but can they play any defense?

Valley Defense
If they are the same players as last year, I can tell you. They CAN NOT play defense. They have some offense but they need to guard somebody.

Valley Defense
If the Vikings CAN NOT play defense how did they force 22 turnovers a game?

forcing turnover is a good start
now, they need to find a way to keep the opposition from hitting 45% from the field on 150 attempts to go along with 30 pts from the FT line.

Turnovers
That would be 48% shooting on 58 opponent attempts while the VIKINGS averaged 67 shots a game. FT's opponent attempts and VIKING attempts were at 24 a piece. We have the top rebounder in the league coming back (now that Pierre is gone). Two or three that were in the top ten in steals. Just because a few points are given up doesn't mean a team isn't playing defense, look at the style of game played and then compare it to the defense being played. Offensive power coming back, almost everybody. I am telling you look out for the VIKINGS this year!
