Monte Foreman/John Fallis saddle
I recently purchased a used Monte Foreman Balanced ride saddle. It has the 3 pt rigging with fluid stirrups. I really like the saddle, but my instructor is telling me I need to change the stirrups and have them hand straight down. Has anyone had experience with this saddle and how can I get the stirrups where he wants.

Thanks.
Sandy

the old sturrip placement debate . i believe the forman saddle has forward mounted sturrips to get you in what thay call "the riders groove " Boz designes his saddles this way and his modo is to ride on you feet not on you seat and likes your balance over the sholders. And with gaited horses we ride in the seat more then the feet . So depending on what kind of gaited horse you have this isnt realy where you want to be. If it were me i know that saddle wasnt cheep rather then haveing a saddle maker butcher it to move the position i would sell it and get something more suited for the style of rideing you are going to do. i have the Forman tape set and have tryed the boz saddle and it didnt work for me.
