Mormons
I saw that there wasn't a topic for this, so I thought I'd post one.
I was a Mormon before I became a Satanist, so I know alittle of what they beileve.
For one thing they beileve they are the only church going to Heaven!
Anyone know anything about them?
I do, I was Mormon to, until I lifted that vale of ignorance and started thinking for my self a few year's ago and realized that I was a Satanist before I even new what the word meant.

Mormons
Tell us a bit more about them. Eddie Izzard says they are from Mars.
I don't really know much about them, other than in our society they were prevented from openly practising polygamy. And of course that the Osmonds were or are mormons. A girl I know did an anthropological study on them for her bachelor degree, but I was too disinterested at the time to ask her much about it.
But I'm interested to find out how did you get from being a mormon to discovering that you were actually a satanist? What was it about the mormon faith that you first questioned what you were taught?

Mormons
Isn't that funny I was also a Mormon in the past before coming to my senses and getting out.
As a Satanist now I look back and wonder just what madness possessed me to become one in the first place.
I wonder if this is significant.

Am I right in guessing from what you said that before you chose to be a mormon at one point, you weren't raised one from birth?
Please elaborate on your experiences a bit, any of you who used to be mormons. I really am interested.

Well, another thing the Mormons beileve that a husband and a wife have tobe "Sealed" together in a Temple.
That way they will be together after death!
Another thing they talk alot about too is The "Priesthood".
I was only a member a week before they ordained me a Priest.
By their teachings I can Baptize people into their church!

Mormons
I was indoctrinated as a Mormon when I was young by my uncle about the time I was looking for something to believe in. Mormon baptisms are full immersion jobs, very cold!
My uncle is still a member very much a christian fundamentalist.
One thing I found amusing about Mormons is that you can be Baptized on behalf of your ancestors, hence their obsession with geneology.

Yes, I know. But I didn't stick around long enough to go to the Temple.
You have to prove that you're Holy enough to go in one of those!
What got me was that I got made a Priest with out really doing anything!!

Mormons again
Yes they made me a priest as well.
I never visited any of the temples myself but I found it amusing, being from Scotland, that they built the Scottish temple in Preston.
Here's something kind of funny.
They still send people over to "Home teach" me.
And here's something better then that, one person even came over and gave me a lift of people for me to "Home teach"!!

Mormons again
I no longer get home visits, mainly because I moved, however I sometimes still get bugged by my mormon uncle.

I dont get bothered by mormons. But there is this lady who lives a few doors away and she tried to convert me. She is a jehovahs witness.

Well, we still live at the same place, so maybe that's why I still get vists.
My mother in law is thinking of going back to the Mormons.
For reasons I have no idea!

i get visits but my family is catholic so its fun just seeing them try to convert my parents lol. but its more fun when i answer it usually goes "would you like to see my bible" then i pull out the satanic bible you should see there faces. or i pass them a copy of "the other people" by Obern Zell (an article how pagans are not sons of Adam and have no original sin)

I have fun too when the Mormon Missionaries come over.
By the time they leave they are pretty well pissed off because they haven't convinced us to go back to their church.
