Out of curiosity, what's everyone's favorite footwear for boarding?

the skate shoes I am wearing is usually my choice, es
I have a pair of Teva Quest mid top hiking/extreme shoes that rule for long hikes and boarding down but I dig the feel of more flexible shoes without lugs for traction
ride on!

see above for killer boards at great prices, plus grips of nice photos of Team NPD and others riding them

I guess I'm one of the only ones who doesn't really like to ride in skate shoes...I've got an old pair of low-top Salomon cross-hikers that I love...Lots of ankle mobility, skate shoe style tread pattern for grip, stiff sole. I like skate shoes for everything else but for dirtboarding I like something that holds my foot a little more solidly.

Reply AIRWALK ONE SERIES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ride with a buncha different AIRWALKs from the "ONE SERIES". Shoes from this series (Random, Rodent, Tesla, ect.) have very little excessive padding on top of the foot, and are rather low profile and kinda flat. I find the low profile design to give good response when ATBing, I've had problems with shoes with a lot of padding on top of the foot.

The bad news is that there's little cushoning, so hiking is more difficult.

I wear Asolo all terrain shoes. Their like a softer style hiking shoe designed for day hikes and other outdoor activities like mtboarding. Their lite weight, extremely durable and have plenty of ankle support.

i use work boots cause i chew through things, though i would love to have a pair of those sticky-soled boots Jason Lee wore out here (410's?) they looked really solid.

I wear hiking shoes. They're great when hiking uphill, and they've got very good ankle support so that I get good turning leverage. The bad point is it's a little harder to tweak airs.

i ride in either my Emerica templetons or my vans.the emericas grip the board well but the sole wears out a lot faster than normal and i need them to last me for skating so i'm using my vans more.i want to get some five-ten guide almighty's. i know farmer wears them and some other MBS guys. They have a good profile for boarding and the sole is made of a rubber originally designed for rock climbing making them super grippy.

hey man, the shoes you are talking about are made by our shoe sponsor Five-Ten. The shoe we use is called the Guide Almighty, and they are great for riding... Low profile, super sticky, they're rad.. fiveten.com

When I ride freestyle with hard bindings, I prefer my Vans snow utility boot. The padded tounge and good fit with the bindings work good for AIR. Riding downhill, I usally use soft bindings and my light weight Timberland mid-hikers are the most comfortable I've found yet. When I'm just kicking around, I love my
SOAP's. I can do a casual grind just about anywhere.
