My Percy Theory!!!
Hello everyone!I have been coming up with a certain theory that involves Percy Weasley. You all know how he gave 'Scabbers' to Ron for his first year? Well, what if Percy knew that the rat was really Peter Pettigrew? Sure, you're probably going- Percy would have turned him in.
BUT, think for a moment of his sister, Ginny. Ginny was lonely and turned to an enchanted diary. What if Percy turned to his (at the time) rat?
When I think of Percy I think of a lonely, friendless boy. What if Peter revealed himself to Percy (knowing Percy is a very smart, power-hungry, ambitious kid) and talked him into becoming a sort of spy person for Voldie?
Take into account this would have happened before Percy's 5th year so he would have been like 14 or 15 at the time.
What if Peter promised Percy companionship and power in return for his betraying his family (who seems to pick on him all the time)? I'm thinking Percy agreed to help Peter with his plans to restore Voldie to power so that he could have the things he has longed for, thus he gave 'Scabbers' to Ron (knowing he would be in the same year as Harry Potter [could have found out Harry was going to school from his dad who works in the MOM]) when he found out he was getting a new pet for being a prefect.
There are rumors going around that a Weasley will die and that the theme of the 5th book is Choosing between what is right and what is easy...what if Percy is that person who has to choose and in turn dies later in the series?
This is just my speculating and gandering so tell me what you think about it...
Honey your theory is bad! How is Percy working for the Ministry if he supports Voldemort ? And you should see the fifth part! He is going to be working so close to Fudge that he is going to move away from home and not even care about his dad in life danger! He isn't going to belive to Harry when he says Voldemort is back! Actually he is going to advise to Ron that he keeps out of Harry's company! So i kinda don't like Percy anymore!

Well, I posted that theory before OOTP came out. I still think Percy knew that Scabbers was actually Wormtail. He showed in book 5 that he is willing to betray his family.
Yes, he says he didn't believe Voldie was back and he is working close to Fudge. He could have been pretending not to believe Harry's claims so no one would suspect he had any involvement with Y-K-W.
And as for Fudge, <b>HELLO</b>! Fudge seems like a complete and total NINNY not to believe Dumbledore and Harry about Voldie's return even though Snape has shown the proof on his left arm! He was obviously hell-bent on believing Voldie wasn't back so why should he have any reason to suspect Percy has anything to do with someone who, as far as he is concerned, is 'dead'? Percy acting as Fudge's assistant only gives Percy a better chance to act as a spy within the MOM (kinda like <i>Lucius Malfoy</i>).
Fudge totally pissed me off in bk 5 (as well as Umbridge who acted the villain vry nicely). If anything, OOTP has reassured that my theory is on the right track. Sure, some of it might be sketchy but for the most part I think I have the general idea...

Melissa I'm sorry if I was evil I didn't mean to. The fact is if I hadn't read the fifth book i would probably agree with you there is a possibility. However after reading the fifth book a part of me thinks that you're right and a part of me hopes that Percy isn't that bad and evil. Sorry again I didn't want to offend you. I agree with you totally on the thing about Fudge and Umbridge . Both of the pissed me off and if I had the chance i would probably kill them. I mean O.K. he got the point Voldie's back and Harry and Dumbledore aren't nuts but i still hate him (actually I hate Umbridge more but who cares).

I'm sorry again Melissa. I have a question. I hope you will answer because you read the fifth book. In the fourth book, the book i read Harry doesn't see who is driving the carriage. I mean he doesn't see anything. But how?!?! If he saw Cedric dye that year and in the fifth book he sees the beasts H-O-W doesn't he see them in book four? I hope you answer!!! (by the way do you live in America or Europe?)

i think your right and wrong. percy did turn onhis family. But i dont think he would work with the minestry, and voldemort.

I have to say i agree with you Percy is a bit mean to his family but he's not evil and vicious and cruel . He was just on the wrong track.
