I just put together a new system for myself. I have not built a PC in a few years, but I have some understanding.
Here is my system;
AV8 VIA K8T800 Pro 939 ATX - Mother Board
AMD 64 FX-53 939P RT - CPU
DDRAM 2GB TwinX2048RE-3200 RT - Memory
74 GB SATA - Hard Drive
ChainTech GF 6800 GT - Video
SB Audigy 2 ZS - Sound Card
I have everything installed and cables ran, but when I power on the system, it goes through the POST startup, then just beeps at me every 5 seconds or so. There is no monitor detection, its almost like its not getting that far along in the boot sequence. I have reset the BIOS and that didnt do anything. I am also using a SATA hard drive for the first time. So my IDE ribbon is only being used for my CD/DVD drives (2).
