Never Winter Nights Been following this kinda casually. If you dont go in with a group of friends already.. what do you think the pickup groups will be like? And what are your impressions of the game? (not out yet, just from reading). |

I am VERY impressed so far.
I anticipate that within a few months after its release, regular NWN players will know who their favorite GMs are and play their games exclusively. I believe NWN will be the end of EQ. Edited by: Natascot at: 11/17/00 1:36:26 pm |

Re: Never Winter Nights I've read the material off their home page.....and I am hopeful it will address most of the issues I have with EQ (everQuest): EQ is essentially going from one spawn zone to another..really this is pretty much the game...mind you they've down a great job of it and for a while at least its entertaining but it is a far cry from the sense of wonder I got playing D&D with a geniune DM who was constantly changing his world... NeverWinter nights should add this element back into the game. I can't wait to be able to choose my world of adventure...and even tell the DM my opinions... I'm also tired of beating on a gnome in Dalnir (a dungeon in EQ) and having this gnome cast spell after spell..while taking several hits every round. Using AD&D rules will actually make melee type characters usefull again.... I don't know how hard it will be to mix it up with other players...something I really enjoy about EQ. I can meet new faces anytime i'm one and I love interacting with such a large pool of adventures. just my thougths.... |
