New HBS Campaign Strategies - Please Read!!!
I'm asking for feedback on new campaign ideas. The first pertains to coordinating our correspondence to TPTB. Angela first suggested this strategy last month and it's an excellent idea. What this means is that we should try to coordinate our letters/phone calls and streamline them to certain days of the month. For instance, Angela suggested e-mailing, calling & letter mailing on the 1st and the 15th of each month. Streamlining our outreach efforts serves a twofold purpose. First, a heavy concentration of correspondence on any given day is readily noticed and counted. Remember, ABC & OLTL receive millions of pieces of mail each month. Second, power in numbers clearly exists, so targeting certain days of the month for our correspondence sends a message to TPTB that: 1) there are many of us still pursuing this, and 2) we are communicating amongst one another and making a concerted effort to organize our outreach efforts. The bottom line is this: it's impressive, plain and simple. That's not to say that you cannot e-mail, call, write, etc., on days other than our 'target' days. It just means that we should shoot for a heavy concentration of correspondence to hit ABC & OLTL on those days.
I also think we need to start hitting OLTL's sponsors both frequently and hard. Don't believe the hype: programming cannot exist without sponsors. I am still in the process of compiling an updated list for us. This has taken some time because ABC frequently changes sponsors, and there are numerous products advertised during each soap's commercial break. I should have this list ready within the next two or three weeks. I will either post it on "Nora's Blog", and link it here for you as soon as the list is complete, or, I will post it here, depending upon the length.
What do you guys think? I think we have what it takes to coordinate our messages to those in charge! It's just another way to be creative in the campaign for HBS ...
