Nic 31 main & jib......possibly soon.
I was just wondering if anyone needed some sails in good condition. They are off 'Belle Ile' as we have a new set for 2006. If you were at the meet last year you may well have seen them if front of you in the 'race' to Osborne Bay! Let me know if you would like some pictures.
Re: Nic 31 main & jib......possibly soon.
David, good question! We have just had them laundered and checked by out local sail loft (UK McWilliam, who made them) and they are now being stored here in Cowes. We are after £525 ono for both. Buyer would probably need to collect due to the weight. I hope that this helps. Alex.

Hi Andy
I am in the middle of buying High Spirits - her sails are quite old (especially the genoa) - with what the survey says needs doing, its going to leave me a bit short. Also her shakedown cruise will be the small pond between America and here!!
Email me on iancstone@aol.com with availability.
cheers
Ian

From where? to where? What route? Any stops?
Which boat is 'High Spirits' Hull no.? Former owner? Boat history?
Have you seen the article in the latest 'Yachting Monthly' about UK sailors buying boats in the US and getting great savings in the process? Is this your story as well?
Re: Nic 31 main & jib......possibly soon.
What a pity nobody saw my request under "Wanted: boats & gear" dated 30/12/05!
David if you really don't need another set, my surveyor has said the suit that's on now won't do an Atlantic crossing, and my budget won't run to a new buy.
Is anyone else out there looking to replace their Genoa - please.cheers Ian.

My Mainsail is still for sale; it is the one in the photograph posted here[ somewhere on the Association website] the details are in an earlier posting. It would be ideal for an Atlantic crossing as it approx 9 ounce cloth and its only fault is that it is somewhat full low down and somewhat flat high up; good for heavy weather and for light weather but not ideal for closehauled sailing in flat water.
Tony
I have agreed to buy the sails from Alex and I never ever go back on my word but your need is greater than mine,if Alex will allow me to stand aside I will.
