Nothing works, please help!
I'm having lots of trouble with my PC....I can't run any games. I first had this problem yesterday, when I ran FFXI, and it had to update. It got mostly through the update process, and then quit and gave me a network error. I tried to run Steam afterwards, it also had to update, and I got the same effect. Then I tried to run Tropico, Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, and Worms Armaggeddon, and they wouldn't even start. It seems that I can't run any full screen game properly. I have rebooted many times, ran Norton Windoctor, Adaware, and Antivirus, ran Windows Update, updated all my drivers, and nothing seems to work.

On FFXI, it downloads all of the files except for one, called 'app.dll', and at 82% of that file, it gives me an error message 'POL-1162 - Network Problems have occured. Please try again later.'
On Steam, it says 'Updating Steam...' and at 26% it restarts, it does this a few times untill it says 'Steam is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.'
The Windows Update file was the latest .NET Framework file.

If you feel that an installed file may have corrupted your system then see if you have a System Restore point available to restore to.
