NuHere, what do YOU believe exactly?

"Hi I was wondering what denomination are you?"

Presently I am a Presbyterian/ Methodist(combined church). Not only that I was a deacon for two terms and and elder for one. I have served as head of "building and grounds" and was head of the committee to install a new interim pastor which was a very successful endeavor considering our small church.

First off, I am not trying to ambush you by asking what you belive just to try to trash it.

But your statements about your church involvement are hard to resolve (for me anyway) with your many vigerous arguments against the historical existence of Jesus Christ and against many orthodox Christian beliefs.

Are you attempting to play a devil's advocate? Or do you just not see any conflict between the arguments you are putting forth in all your many, many posts, and your stated church activites?

Genesis {33:19} He said, "I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy."
Romans {9:20} But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, "Why did you make me like this?" {9:21} Or hasn't the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?
Steven Brust {Phoenix} A god is someone who isn't bound by natural laws, and who can morally commit an action which would be immoral for someone who wasn't a god.

No I'm not playing devils advocate. My church activities are in the past. As of right now I am only a member. I just tried to put forth the fact that I am no longer a believer. Is this a bit of hypocrocy on my part? I would have to answer yes. There is still the reality of family politics and reality that I must acknowledge and deal with. My wife is unaware of my new found knowledge and I am confident my children will come to their own conclusions sooner or later.Believe it or not my youngest just recieved confirmation this past spring.

I am sorry if I have treated you rudely, and i will continue to prey for you. What happen that made your relationship with God become so distorted? Only time heals wounds. I am younger than you, but we are all dealt obstacles in our lives, and the harder they are, the stronger you become.

I'll have to Agree with Jon. I tend to get impatient in arguments and I apologize for my impatience.

Re: Hrmm....
No I mean yell, and if it's debate, it's not bibical to do it.
It goes against the bible if you guys/girls are christian then you should look it up.
I've used scripture, and you guys/girls ignore it so I guess you guys are as bad as you make Nuhere to be?
I mean you say that he talks about things he has no clue about but yet you guys ignore scripture and go on, RedClaw says well its too much fun and he won't let his Religion be talked trashed about, but if you know Christainty is right, you can't force Nuhere to believe you can only pray for him.
Aruging WON'T (most likely) change his mind, talking with might possibly, but not over the internet.
So all to you Claim to be Christian YET, ignore the bible, I'll pray for you.

Christ contstantly corrected the Pharisees. I don't intend to let someone trash my religion when they think they know better. Nuhere wont change his mind because he ignores all of our proofs and clings to his older arguments.

X Zack X I started a thread about 2 months ago trying to get to know Nuhere better, you can scroll down to find it, but all he said was he is not important, and will not discuss himseld, at that point I stopped trying to communicate with him. You think we are hypocrites, but you are doing the samething to us, that you claim we are doing to Nuhere. So would you like for us to let nuhere say that Christ does not exist, than agree with him. Get over your rightousness, that is a sin as well. We all are bad people, and I told nuhere that a lot. Finding out that he has lost his faith is a sad thing to hear.

Re: HMMM
Debating is a healthy thing. I think everyone should engage in it. And it's NOT un-Christian to do so. It's un-Christian to get into a childish argument, not a hard debate.

Re: HMMM
2 Timothy 2:22-26
Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resntful. Thosee who oppose him must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repntance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

2 Timothy 3:7-9

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth-men of depraved minds, who as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far beacause, as in the case of those men. their folly will be clear to everyone.

Titus 3:10-11

Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

1 Corinthians 10:31

SO whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13

What business is it of mine to judge those outside of the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

1 Corinthians 2:14

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Now I just wanted say that Nuhere is a diverse man he came here looking for an arguement, and you know what he got one. Now Yes Jesus did answer the Phariesees questions BUT he didn't get tangled into them he Just gave his answer and left it at that unless they asked another question, now most of the things Nuhere put on here Aren't Questions rather statements, and now I know we want to back up things with Scripture but if he doesn't believe that the bible holds truth what does it mean to him?
Now disscussions and Debetes are good an all but with fellow believers because if I argue and debate with a Non-Christian I often try to use Scripture and it means NOTHING because they don't accept it ya know?
If I been sounded self righteous I honestly wasn't meaning to I was just trying to help out but it didn't come through like that I guess, Yes I do become upset because you guys CONSTENTLY bigure with him even though the bible does say other wise
(Titus 3 10)
and you guys warned him more than that Also in Mattew warning about a Brother doing wrong to you, how you should bring more then one person then after that the elders, and after that the church, and if still then he goes on sinning then have nothing to do with him

And I havn't been trying to get Nuhere's Beliefs because to me they were obvious, that he didn't believe in Christianty nor was willing to change.

And now its time for me to say
"I'll stop rambling"

There is no reason for anyone to apologize as I hold no animosity to anyone on this board. You assume that I have undergone some painfull event in my life that has caused me to come to my conclusions. I can assure you that this is not the case. My convictions came about quite by accident whild debating a friend (born again) about life after death and what happens. I was of the opinion that when one dies he is dead until the second coming and his was that a saved person would go to heaven. I thought that this was wrong considering that Jesus was supposed to come back and judge all people living and dead. It would make his coming back meaningless if some were already judged. Could you imagine being in heaven at the second coming and then being told " MR So and SO , there is a problem, you'll have to leave.
Well anyway the more I looked the more contradictions I found and one thing led to another then I just started looking for the evidence only to find out it doesn't exist. When I researched the pagan religions and saw the uncanny and many similarities there could be no other conclusion that Christianity was as bogus as the others.
When I finally came to this conclusion it was like getting hit upside the head and waking up. There is no other way to describe it. Everything seemed so clear literally. It was like waking up from a dream or stepping out from a fog into the sun.
