Out of Place Together forever was the plan Now you are just a friend I miss the intimacy we had. Nights wrapped in your embrace Sheltered from the raging tempest Moonlight shines on your face Lost within the depths of your green eyes. When did it unravel? Another failed romance Took our love for granted And left too much to chance. Days pass and I pretend The separation didn't wound me Leaving my heart to mend Under the strain of daily living. Memories I will chase Forever hunting for my true love Somewhere out of place Where outsiders are strangers no more. |

I like the poem itself. Heh, I think it sorta reminds me of one of my little . . . old romances that I still regret and am pained by.
