We learn that the head of Metachem, where Michael works, is a mysterious old man who has been searching for the alien healer and has been secretly investigating Michael. While investigating the company with Michael and Max, Valenti gets shot by the Metachem men. In order to save Valenti, Max is forced to use his powers on the old man and loses his powers and possibly his life. Meanwhile, Liz has entered boarding school in Vermont and tries to start a new life. Maria is in New York to record her demo but finds that her dream isn't all that she imagined it to be and goes to visit Liz in Vermont.

* So Liz wanted to go to a school with a lot of rules...so she could break them?
* Interesting that just talking to Max activated her powers - or it is a coincidence that it happened right when he mentioned her coming home? Here's what I think - I think Liz is resistent because of her conflicting emotions toward Max and that is her psychosomatic response. Here's another theory - now that Max is "dead", whatever bond he had with Liz is now broken...just guessing.
* Does anyone really believe Max is dead? Hmm? Anyone? Thought not.
* Billy Bob wasn't quite as irritating this time around...then again, they didn't let him speak too much.
* Yippee! Kyle got rid of the sideburns!
* "I can't save people from a natural death" Hmmm...is cancer considered a natural death? Just asking.
* So glad that Liz admitted Max didn't really "cheat" on her with Tess. Maybe she has a clue, too

Not a bad ep, just a little weird. Two weeks until the next ep, then hiatus, huh? The new sitcoms look bad - and I'm not saying that because they're yanking Ros for them. I'm more mature than that...I think. A thought crossed my mind about this - why would you bring back a show for May sweeps (banking on it getting good ratings during sweeps) if you didn't have any confidence in it drawing an audience? If you didn't plan on it drawing, why not just run the rest of the eps now? I don't understand...that's why I'm not in the business.

Ok first I must say.. Hmmm REALLY like bugler Max.. sleek, mysterious... umm besides the fact that he is so damn good looking Ok.. Ok.. off the whole Max good looking thing.. He makes a good bugler.. OK OK.. SO HE GOT CAUGHT, and "died" He can still look good in the whole bugler outfit.. better then the robber one He got caught in the robber one too just didn't get dead... Not really as good a Future Max but he doesn't exist anymore.. so well there goes FMax.. well neither does Bugler Max. God could this get any more confusing..
Ok about the whole show..
First I must say.. My daughter was crying over Max dieing.. and she didn't stop until I let her in on a secret shhhhhhhhh Like.. HELLO HE IS THE STAR OF THE SHOW.. (didn't tell her they may be canceled)
Liz surprised me, I thought the same thing MM... Ok Roswell or this boarding school... she still breaks the rules.
GREAT now the Sheriff will have powers.. MAX STOP ALREADY... (I am still hoping its only Liz)
Morgan Fairchild said she wanted the healer.. Hey babe join the club and stand your butt in line. God... rude
What was up with Maria's whole part in this show.. to take up time? It to me didn't add to it at all... Glad she is over that phase..
Kyle... well he got a few lines.. better then Jessy who had none... and creeped around at night.. Looking way stupid, no cool cloths for Jessy... Is he still standing by those doors???? Pulling on them.. <sign laungue to Jessy> ... JESSY THEY ARE LOCKED... your not an Alien... You can't pass go.. and collect your $200 so just be your pretty self and just Be... Now he knows how some of these women feel.. to be seen and not heard, treated like an object!!! Jessy is in need of therapy...

IMM - You crack me up with your Morgan Fairchild/Jesse remarks! Yes, I believe that Jesse probably is still pulling on those doors Cornell School of Law my @$$ Do you ever read the mightybigtv.com reviews (well, now it's televisionwithoutpity.com)? A "guest" reviewer did "Control" (I think) and his only real comment about Jesse was - "I think Jesse may be retarded."
BTW, whatever happened to creating a villian, building up to the point where you find out how really bad they are? I mean, Pierce was introduced (if only by name) in "Crazy" and we didn't get a taste of his evilness until the very end of "Max to the Max". These Metachem people were just dropped out of the sky.
MM now that you bring up these fly by night villains... Umm how the heck did they get Liz's dress? Break into the FBI building? Why didn't Max and the gang think of that.. I mean they are the ones with the powers... Hmm... The only good part.. since we have picked this apart is Liz and FINALLY getting her powers.. Oh what a year later after she did Max in the City... SAD..
I liked the comment about Jessy being retarded.. I second that one.. God with a husband like that.. who needs kids... or a life for that matter.. what does Iz do? Does she work? Go to school? what.. For that matter what does Max do? Ok.. so he doesn't need to do anything.. because he is just to pretty.. with that said.. I must run and get my daughter.. hopefully she is over the whole shock that Max died.. That the first time she ever got emotional about any show...

Re: Panacea hahahahaha!!!!! it looks as though the only alien that actually does anything is michael, boy wonder... lol. iz is (lol... i crack me up) a house wife, and max, he's just the melancholy aspect of the show who owns a cherry chevelle and somehow is able to afford gas, insurance, etc. why is it that max has a car and no job, yet michael has two jobs and no car??? i mean, i get the fact that he has he own place and all, but really???
I really haven't been reading the spoilers jsut posting the descriptions!
