Pencil artists needed
I'm involved with a community of online fiction/serial writers. Many use photographs of actors to represent characters, but I'm less inclined to use someone's photography without permission. Rather, I'd like to have a pencil art portrait of my conception of the character, usually taken from photos of random people on the internet. I can't pay, but the artist(s) would get exposure and involvement in an emerging medium on the internet.
This has been done quite effectively in other series (artists working with writers). Gossamer (www.gossameronline.com) has artists paint pictures of well known actors while Legendary (www.legendaryonline.com) uses original artwork.
I'm still in the planning stages of adding artwork, but I wanted to see if there was any interest out there. My series is at www.aeropark.com/crossings.
