Posting Guidelines for Manuscripts
- Only post one chapter at a time. (If the chapter is long, cut it into one post with one or two replies. EZBoard doesn't like huge posts, and shorter posts will make critiquing easier.) Members are expected to give three critiques for every one "submission" that they make. (Each chapter is considered a "submission".)
- In the subject line, post the working title of the piece, as well as the chapter number. Subsequent chapters should be posted as a "new topic".
- If your chapter is too long, ezboard may have a tough time posting it. Break it into two sections.
- You do not have to do three critiques to post your first chapter, however, you must do three critiques before you post a "new" chapter. Revised chapters should be posted as a "new topic", but are not considered a "new submission".
- Members are expected to post work regularly, two to four chapters a month, minimum.
- It is standard practice to use underlines to show italics. Make sure "ezcodes" is checked in the formatting section above the message area of your post, and use the ezcodes to help you with italics. Text you choose to use codes on will appear at the bottom of your message, so you may need to cut and paste it into the correct section of the work.
