Praise and prayer in San Diego I have been volunteering at the Billy Grahm mission in San Diego, and last night, the first night of the mission, there were over 3k people that came forward and turned in cards that they filled in with either "accept the Lord', rededicate to the Lord, 'want to know more about Jesus Christ', or 'want to learn reassurance of my salvation'. It was awesome! I am a volunteer counseler, and also helping with the card tabulating and paper work afterwards! Please pray that people will get saved and the whole city will be impacted for God's glory in a wonderful, lasting way! Eric |

Okay, a follow-up!
It was a blast! Last night was the 'youth' concert, meaning it was the bands that i was most interested in! I also got to pray with three different young guys who decided to become Christians! So, please pray for 'Chad', 'Kellon', and 'Ryan'! They are 16, 15, and 13, respectively! Eric |

Re: Praise and prayer in San Diego I called the three guys that I prayed with to accept the Lord on Saturday night, and one of them, 'Ryan', had a prayer request; he's worried about his aunt who was recently divorced and is having a really tough time of it. So, if you all think of it, please pray for 'Ryan's aunt', okay? Eric |

! Hey you guys! I was there too! Only on Saturday and Sunday, though. I enjoyed Sunday night a lot more, because Saturday night I took my friend who is one of the "I think I'm a Christian because I go to church" types, and he spent the whole time complaining about how stupid it was and how boring Billy is. I heard about six complete sentences of the message... Sunday night I went alone, and I got front-row seats in the Counselors supervisors section, because I went with my pastor and the paster of the Presby church downtown and they were supervisors. Heh, we probably saw each other several times and didn't even know it. I was unfortunately unable to attend the final night of counselors training (the only one that really, well trained the counselors to be counselors), but I did go to the first three meetings (i.e. Christianity 101). So, Billy. I was amazed at his message - simple enough that everyone was able to understand it, yet sophisticated enough that I'm sure that even those of us who have had more of the scholarly side of Christian education were able to learn something. And the "deaf Choir" was pretty cool too. I'll pray for him, Kaze. Thanks a lot you guys, I really appreciate your counselorship even if I am sadly unable to call myself your fellow in that respect. In His love, - - Unfallen |

Counselorship! Don't feel bad about not being able to counsel. For one thing, the Billy Graham mission people emphasized again and again that the mission itself is not the main deal. It is the people who make a decision to follow Christ becoming part of the family of Christ in San Diego afterwards that really is the big deal. And you can help with that by being on the look out for new Christians and encouraging them! Of the 4 days/nights of the mission, I missed out on counseling for 2 of the nights, and then did not actually hook up with anyone on the first night that I DID get to go down as a counselor. It worked out fine. Eric |
