First of all, good job on this new board! I really like it. It seems like a much better crowd here than the new official board.
However, can I offer one suggestion? On darker monitors, such as mine (relatively dark even when cranked up all the way), the purple text on the black background is kind of hard to read. I find myself highlighting everything in order to be able to read it easily. Is there any way you could go with a lighter color or a lighter shade of purple? I'd imagine this probably affects some other people here too, but I don't really know. Just an idea.
(My monitor isn't defective or worn out or anything. It's just always been rather dark, as I believe all Dell D1028L 17" monitors are.)

i actually like the grey v. purple for the sake of people with dark monitors .. although, white tends to hurt my eyes against the black when too much of it's used, like in a large body of text--you could even use a lighter shade of grey if you'd prefer [i.e. "#CCCCCC" or "#F7F7F7"]. sorry, we dismantled the overhead fluorescent lights in our little corner of the office.

This is MUCH easier to read on my monitor. By the way, I don't think there's any problem with using colored text, it's just the really dark colors on black that are difficult to read. But anyway, I have no objections to this gray color (except for the fact that you can barely see it on top of that white song poll in another thread). Thanks!
