OBSERVED LICENCE TESTS : Drivers requiring observation, report to the Event Secretary’s office after scrutineering and leave your licence with details of your car number and category. After your qualifying session, report with your time sheet to the Assistant Clerk of Course for licence endorsement.
PROVISIONAL CIRCUIT – PC LICENCE HOLDERS : It is your responsibility to leave your licence with the Scrutineers who will forward it to the Clerk of Course. This must be done prior to qualifying.
6.14 Safety Car - In accordance with Race Meeting Standing Regulations, a Safety Car will be used as required in all State Championship events.
9.2 Alcohol and Drugs - Further to the provisions of NCR 145A, competitors are advised that alcohol breath testing may be conducted at this meeting, and this advice will serve as the required written notice at least 24 hours prior to such testing taking place.

racing at night is not a good idea at all , especially on saturday night , i prefer to go out & have a nice dinner & chats instead of sweating & dirty at the track
some people do not have life so they prefer to stay out at the track all night ????? or at least till late ....
may be the next round we don't have to endure this anymore..
that's what i think anyway ....

GO.... KILKOY... yeah... yeah... may be by the end of 2007 ? hopefully ....

Sorry i cant agree with you as i find racing very enjoyable and would prefer to be racing all weekend and as you say have a life last weekend and next weekend when not racing

Graeme, I couldn't agree more. We travel for hrs to get to the track. I for one want as much track time as I can get, be it in the day or at night.

I can't believe there's some resistance to night racing. The promoters are trying to find a way of adding something new and exciting to the programme and it falls flat. I've done it, it's heaps of fun.
I've got no idea how I'm going to see you all from the tower though.

we have had racing down in NSW each year and got very good suport only at club level not state lavel but gr8 racing just the same.

Dave,
The night race was the first one that I had ever done; initially I was a tad freaked out about doing it!
However....... once we got in to it, it was unreal!! There was not much lighting on the track, a bit spilling over from pit lane onto the main straight, the entry to the s's!! They had the in field lit up though????? Coming down into the gum trees.... you couldn't see a thing!! At certain places, I ended up driving the track from memory!
Heaps of kudos to Justin Keys, he was still cutting out mid 10's in the dark!! The man is a freak!!!
Overall it was a great experience and I would defiantly do this type of event again. :

Well it was very difficult to see who was who from the commentary tower, but I think most enjoyed it.
Congrats to Justin Keys and Mick Uebergang who matched their daylight times and hence ran away with the nght races, when everyone else dropped a second or two in the dark.

Mallala had a night race at the nationals!! Maybe is slightly different as the place is lit up like a christmas tree so is not really 'night'. My only issue was that on the second lap a rotary went bang right in front of my and threw oil all over the screen. Try driving into a corner with oil over the screen and bright lights shining on the screen...... ended up looking out the side of the car just to find the corners!!!
On a parrallel many years ago over in Tas there was a gokart race at an indoor bicycle velodrome in Launceston - now that is a buzz!! Few spectacular crashes, but boy it was fast!!
If you have never done a night race you really should give it a go!!!
I've done it, it's heaps of fun.
