 RPG on message boards
How it works on message boards
Each person writes a short (perhaps a paragraph or two) bit of the story (in sensible English please, 'txt' language can be hard to read) Posts must be 5 lines MINIMUM (Thats 5 lines, not 5 sentances!)
When a new part is posted it must be in a the right forum...so, if you're character is in the Gryffindor Common Room, make sure the post goes in there.
heres a very quick example (no...i know they're not 5 lines each :P)
Severus:
Severus stalked the hall, looking for Lucius, who apparently needed to talk to him urgently. Before he could turn right, into the passage that lead to the dungeons, he found himself face to face with the Gryffindor gang. He glowered at them "Shouldnt all dangerous dogs be muzzled and kept on a leash, Black?" he growled to Sirius, whilst, casting a look of loathing at Lupin.
Sirius:
Sirius glared at Snape. Things were bad enough between him and Remus without this git interfering. He stepped forward, clenching his fists and retorted "What are you doing here? Oh, i guess vampires dont go out in sunlight, do they?"
Remus
Remus shot Sirius a warning look; he didnt want a fight. "Severus" he aknowledged quietly. Despite being reassured by Dumbledore, Remus couldnt help but be scared that Snape would unveil his secret to the entire school.
Severus
Severus glared at the group, his black eyes full of loathing. Finally he turned to Lupin fully, and snarled in a low voice "Kill anyone over the holidays, werewolf?". Before anyone could respond, Severus pushed past Lupin, and stalked over to Lucius.
etc.
I know its tempting to get your character in there, but please let the story flow...if James and Sirius are in the middle of a conversation then let them finish it instead of cutting back to what Filch is doing; unless of course Filch is about to wander in in the middle of the conversation OR you have given your post a small title (ie. James and Sirius, Charms Class)
