Welcome to the... Message Board for Plymouth Roadunner Owners & Enthusiasts (including Superbirds and GTX) Fellow B-Body Satellite and Charger and F-Body owners also welcome
I went out to look at a 69 Road Runner yesterday. It was fixed up but not restored (I think that's the right way to put it). Pretty decent all around -- with the exception of a highly questionable fresh coat of primer on the trunk floor (hiding something maybe?) -- and not a lot of money.
Anyway, I took the VIN off the dash (presumably matching the engine) and hoped I might get some help decoding it. So here it is:
RM21H9A170283
Any assistance is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rod

Re: RR VIN - Help Requested
RM21 is a road runner sedan
H is the 383
9 is the year
A is Lynch Road Plant
rest are the production number
The fender tag or biuld sheet will tell you a lot more if they are still with the car.

Re: RR VIN - Help Requested
sedan means that it has the post,RM23 is the hardtop w/out post, the car was the 70,283rd car built thus far in the year, that is an early on date as mine was 218xxx,the other factory code on there would be a G if it had been built in the St.Louis plant.
