Name: Aranami, Megumi
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7
Weight: 105 lb.
Nationality: Japanese/Irish Elven
Appearance: Megumi is different from other people in that she is not a full-blooded human. She is part Elven, and that appears to dominate her features. Her hair is raven-colored, deep night-black. Her ears are a bit more pointed than is common, she is slim but strong, and has a nice figure for her age. Her ocean-blue eyes narrow more at the farther ends, and her face is extremely beautiful. She normally wears a flattering black leather tunic with tight-fitting black pants and two sword-baldrics (weapon belts), one that she wears on her waist, and the other slung from the left shoulder to the right hip. She also occasionally wears a beautiful white fleece overcoat.
Weapons:
-Senpuuhi, Whirlwind of Ice: Senpuuhi, as well as Assai Ikazuchi, are valuable swords made by a master smith and an expert jeweler working together. It is a Japanese long sword, a katana, covered with an extremely thin layer of strong unscratchable sapphire, made so that although the blade is completely decorated, the steel edge is free for slashing and stabbing. It has no pommel, and a black bound leather handle. The hilt is a traditional rounded swordhilt, decorated with the image of a snow-covered plain. The blade has a delicate snowflake branded just above the hilt, and there are strange runes and markings etched along the side opposite to the edge.
-Assai Ikazuchi, Crushing Thunder: The big brother of Senpuuhi, Assai Ikazuchi is a kyoken, which is basically an enlarged, two-handed katana with a special large hilt to support the heavy blade. It is made in the same style as the matching katana, with a thin layer of strong unscratchable ruby completely covering the blade. The kyoken is basically proportionally similar to the katana, but from the hilt up, there are differences. The snow-covered plain is replaced by a raging thunderstorm, the snowflake is replaced by a lightning bolt, and the markings are different. Although the kyoken may seem like too big and heavy a weapon for Megumi to wield, she has trained her strength to the point where she can wield it with only one hand, leaving the other free for double-wielding the katana with it.There are rumors that there are more pieces of this weapons set, including a spear and a short sword, but no traces of these have been found as of yet.
Personality: Megumi has a vivacious, lively personality at times, and at others, a shy, quiet disposition. She meditates and thinks in depth much of the time she spends alone, so she might be say wise things. While she talks to a person, however, she sometimes says things without thinking. She is very forward, and speaks her mind at the least provocation. Megumi is quite intelligent, and she reads and studies voraciously. Although she might seem the quiet, scholarly type, she posses a very violent temper, and although her Spirit, Katsuya, is trying to help her to control it, both are not very successful. Although she might look peaceful and non-warlike, there is a hidden side of her. She is a fearless fighter, and ruthless in her work. Despite her relatively young age, she can and will kill anyone willingly in self-defense.
History:
Megumi was always the strange one, even in childhood. Her pointed ears, angular features, and startling insight made her a subject of ridicule. At school, she had no friends, mainly because nobody wanted to speak to someone who didn't even look like a full human. Her family history was something of a joke to the whole town. Everyone believed that her father had gone off with another woman, not even caring for his newborn child or her mother. The truth was that her father was an elf. Her mother and family hid this fact from her, pretending that she was just deformed, and making up a story about how he had died in an bus accident. She grew up with no knowledge of her past or her father, except that he loved her mother very much, because every time she looked at Megumi at the dinner table, she left it momentarily with tears in her eyes. One thing that puzzled everyone, including her, was her immense strength and violent temper. Once, a bully had socked her arm in the halls at school. She immediately turned around and punched him in the chest, sending him flying into classroom door. From the force of the blow, he broke a hole through the door and had to be rushed to the hospital. She was never in trouble for that incident, but people ceased to even talk to her, for fear of her power.
The day she turned fourteen, she walked home, not particularly happy, because her mother did not celebrate birthdays for some reason or other. Her mother worked until four in the afternoon, so Megumi was alone in the house. She riffled through some letters on the table, and was shocked to find one from her father. She quickly ripped it open and found that it was a a huge package. birthday card, and a letter telling her the full story of her past, her powers, and that she should look for him so she would fulfill her full potential. She opened the package and was startled to find two swords, a katana and a kyoken, complete with sword belts and scabbards. She was in the business of making impetuous decisions, so she took the swords, nothing else, and left the house, wandering the paths, always seeking her true destiny.
<Ghost info>
Name: Katsuya
Type: Full Elven
Personality: Katsuya is a serene, calm person, but that masks a vicious killer inside, courtesy of a ninja mother and a samurai father. When she was alive, her nickname was Museitakai, Silent Death. Yet she is not without sympathy or kindess. In fact, she kills only for the money and the challenge. She is constantly cautioning Megumi about her temper and unnecessary risk-taking, acting somewhat like a caring sensei, which indeed was her role.
Techniques: These are the main attacks of Katsuya in Integration with Megumi.
Hayai Bunshin no Jutsu [Art of the Swift Clones] - 5 Mana/clone - 10 Damage/clone - Megumi/Katsuya does a few handseals, and swift-moving clones appear to attack or defend.
Fubuki Chikara [Blizzard Force] - 20 Mana (25 for the Strike) - 40 Damage (50 for the Strike) - An Icelight sphere forms at the tip of Katsuya's blade. It can be commanded to one of four things, Strike, Wave, Volley, and Shield. The Strike [Dageki] is when the Icelight surrounds the blade, superimposing an ice block shaped with the blade, which is used for physically attacking an opponent. The Wave [Shugekiha] is when the Icelight shoots directly at something, forming a snowy wave that covers the opponent. The Volley [Seisha] is when the Icelight forms many tiny ice shards that also shoot at the opponent. The Shield [Tate] is when the Icelight forms a solid ice block, partially blocking an opponent's attack.
Arashi no Raiden [Tempest of Thunder] - 20 Mana (25 for the Strike) - 40 Damage (50 for the Strike) - Much the same as Blizzard Force, except that it is Thunderlight instead of Icelight. An Thunderlight sphere forms at the tip of Katsuya's blade. It can be commanded to one of four things, Strike, Wave, Volley, and Shield. The Strike [Dageki] is when the Thunderlight surrounds the blade, making a kind of electric aura around the blade, which is used for physically attacking an opponent. The Wave [Shugekiha] is when the Thunderlight shoots directly at something, forming a shockwave of lightning, with a thunderball vortex that strikes the opponent. The Volley [Seisha] is when the Thunderlight forms many tiny sparks that also shoot at the opponent. The Shield [Tate] is when the Thunderlight forms a triangle of focused energy, partially blocking an opponent's attack.
Thunder Breaker Frost Reaver - 70 Mana - 70 Damage - Both the Icelight and the Thunderlight spheres fuse in the blade, creating a combination aura. Katsuya then slashes with the blade, at a distance or close up, releasing the combined energy in ripping torrent of thunder and ice.
History: Katsuya had the best beginnings for a warrior. Her mother was a ninja, and her father was the highest sensei of the samurai at the emperor's court. Her parents brought her up as a warrior, and with the help of a family friend, she became familiar with the many mystical arts, such as different types of magic and sorcery, as well as Shamanism. As she grew up, she became the most renowned female fighter in all of Edo (now Tokyo). As such, she was always being asked to do some difficult spywork and assasinations. The rest of her history is unknown, except that she died when she was ambushed by the Chinese Tao Shamans while infiltrating their palace in China.

Shaman Hitpoints: 202
Mana Points: 250
Defense: 7

Sample RP: Megumi was jogging along a random path in the forest, happy to be traveling, her pack heavy with "borrowed" food and useful items she had helped herself to at the past town. Suddenly, she heard a noise. She immediately crouched and began crawling among the bushes, trusting her senses to find the source. It turned out to be a group of three mean-looking men surrounding a small family consisting of a father, mother, and young daughter. She listened carefully and found out the men wanted the family to surrender all of their possesions, while the father was trying to prolong the argument. Slowly, she crept back out of the undergrowth. Although Megumi hated bullies and wanted to erase them from the planet, she also thought that maybe the bullies had left their packs and things in an open area, free for the taking. Sure enough, after a quick search, she discovered their full food bags in a clearing. She proceeded to empty the bags into her own, reasoning that since they were probably already stolen, it wouldn't hurt to steal them again. Megumi has just tied her pack shut when she heard a voice whisper, "A thief stealing from thieves. How interesting..."
Without thinking, she said, "They made the mistake of leaving it in the open, so serve them right."
There was a gasp. She then looked around for the speaker, and was startled to see a young woman floating, unbelievably, just above the ground a short distance away. The apparition said, startled, "You can hear me?"
Megumi loosened her katana in its sheath, replying, "Yes, I can hear and see you, but what's going on?"
The figure ignored her, murmuring to herself, "It must be a shaman. There is no other explanation."
The woman-ghost then faced Megumi directly. "You are a shaman, are you not?"
Megumi shivered slowly, feeling strange for a moment. Then she regained her composure. "What do you mean, I'm a shaman?"
The woman-ghost again murmured, "Ah, she must not know it. Very well then. I am Katsuya Museitakai, warrior from the 14th century. I am now a Spirit. You are obviously a shaman, one with the power to see, hear, and control Spirits like me. With your powers, you and I can fuse together and do remarkable things. I see your blades," Katsuya said, motioning towards Megumi's swords, "They were mine, when I was alive. Yes, Crushing Thunder and Whirlwind of Ice, my katana and kyoken, made specially for me by a dear friend. I would like to be your Guardian Ghost, since you are a lot like me when I was your age, and since you bear Assai Ikazuchi and Senpuuhi. What do you say?"
Megumi was taken aback by this speech, but she was ready to believe it. "OK, then, you can be my partner, if you really want it."
But she had neglected to pay attention to her surroundings, so great was her surprise at Katsuya's announcement. The three rowdies had come back to their "secret" hideout, and were astonished to find Megumi talking to thin air. Their surprise turned to anger, and the three quickly moved around to surround Megumi. She turned around to face them fearlessly, her hands darting automatically to her weapons. Katsuya whispered, "Let's try our new union out, shall we? The words are Spirit Form, then Unity."
Megumi half-heartedly assented, shouting out, "Katsuya! Spirit Form! Unity!" She felt a new power rising within her as she collected Katsuya into a flaming orange ball of Spirit Flame. She forced the Spirit Flame into her body and became one with Katsuya. She spoke to the bullies, who were laughing hysterically at the drama of the girl in front of them, saying in a very different voice, "We'll see who gets the last laugh."
The three men laughed even harder at this, thinking Megumi's statement no end of a joke. Katsuya whispered to Megumi, "Let's put 'em in the deep freeze."
Megumi drew her katana, Senpuuhi, from its scabbard. She thought for a minute, then yelled, "Blizzard Force!" A point of blue light appeared at the tip of the swordblade, enlarging into an icy sphere of Icelight, the highest and most potent concentration of the Ice Elemental. On Megumi's silent command, the Icelight split into three ice beams, striking the thieves and immediately forming a block of solid ice around them. "There, that should do it," Megumi said quietly. Then she, with Katsuya following, walked quietly into the dark of the forest.
