Results of actual communication. As a result of two e-mails (and subsequent responses) to/from Daktronics, the official stat tracker/compiler of the NAIA, two interesting things have occurred: 1. MNU's final record is now reported correctly at 24-10 as of March 5th. 2. Matt Keeley, MNU pg, leads the nation in assist avg at 7.77 per game. Secondly, I had an interesting telephone conversation with LL on Thurs, Mar 4th. I'm just itchin' to share the details of our little 10 minute talk, however, in the interest of chivalry, will allow manunanuto come clean and reveal either who he is and/or how he knows what was discussed at Mo Valley amongst the HAAC coaches on Feb 22nd. If that doesn't light a fire under your butt, manunanu, nothing will. Time to MAN UP. |

This should be interesting.
ButtHull I'm sure your conversation with LL was good and filled with many Jewell references. Such as -Man is Jewell good this season -They nearly beat the #1 seed in the tournament this season -Coach Holley sure looks like George Jetson Let's hear the details Butt, manu is going to be hard to find. |

LLady I agree with bkball. How did you get to talk to Lady? I have tried to contact him regarding officiating and he won't respond. |

Re: LLady it's all in the approach, fellas i left him a very nice message with first and last name....told him i was an mnu alum....and that i had a question or two about the most recent coach's meeting (specifically vague) and that i'd be looking fwd to speaking with him. sure enough, two or three days later, he calls me at work. nice guy on the phone. didn't talk about jewell (i know.....bummer) i told him i was having conversations with someone that claimed to be close to issues sorrounding coach lamar "doctoring" MNU's stats this season to inflate Matt Keeley's assist average. secondly, i mentioned that this person was using the fact that Daktronics counted the 11/11/2003 win against Ottawa twice to reduce MK's avg and drop him from being the national leader on Daks Stats page. i pointed out to him that MNU's athletics page showed MNU at 24-10. I also pointed out that the NAIA site under "Qualifiers" (before brackets were released) for the national tourney also listed MNU at 24-10.....but that Dak Stats showed them as 25-10 and some other guy as the national assist per game leader. Between the time I left my mssg (maybe Monday or Tuesday, March 1st or 2nd) for LL and the day I spoke to him, I dropped Dak Stats two e-mails questioning their stats for MNU's wins/losses. They shot me an e-mail back basically blaming the HAAC for not reporting correctly. LOL. Funny how the official NAIA site had the correct record in their "Qualifiers" section before brackets were released. then, the fun part started. i just flat out asked LL if there were any HAAC coaches that he knew of that have accused Lamar of "doctoring" stats to improve Keeley's assist avg. He chuckled and said that not only are there a few that have whined and complained to him personally this year about MK...but they also whined about Aaron Harris' and Pete Carr's stats. that goes back to friggin' 1994! LL went on to say that he doesn't know if Lamar does or doesn't 'doctor' his stats, but did say it's common practice for all football and basketball coaches to finalize their own team's stats before allowing them to be uploaded to the HAAC. He went on to say that his direct response to the few coaches that whined to him in past years about Carr and Harris and about Keeley's assists and Schaeffer's blocks this year was "review tape, bring me proof, and we'll address the issue". Guess what? Go ahead.....just guess.................. Yup....not one coach ever bothered to bring him proof of their ironclad claims. Sound familiar, boys? Yep...that's right...same tactic as our little sourpuss, manunanu from the planet ork. LL also said that earlier this season, one of the HAAC coaches approached Lamar after getting it handed to his squad by the Pioneers all hot and bothered accusing Rocky to his face that he's sick of the cheating on the stats sheets. Rocky flat out said I'm sorry....I don't do anything unethical. GET THIS....according to LL, the coaches who are upset with Lamar are upset at the timing in which the stats are reported. Right away, you guys are thinking...oh....they must be upset about the delay, thus, proving that someone is taking their time doing some padding (as MANUNANU has alleged)......NOPE....these coaches were actually upset because the MNU stats were being IMMEDIATELY turned in after the games! Imagine the surprise in my voice as I responded to LL on that one. He just chuckled. So did I. LL went on to say that the irate coach that approached Lamar talked with LL directly about his displeasure. LL told him to take proof to the Feb 22nd meeting at MO Valley with all the other coaches and confront Lamar. LL has heard NOTHING of the events of that meeting, and here we were in March having this conversation nearly two weeks later. Wow...sounds like some REALLY big stuff went down in Fayette. I get the feeling that if something was said to Lamar and backed up with proof ......LL woulda heard alllllll about it fairly quickly. According to manunanu...LL would know allllll about the great calling on the carpet of coach lamar. He hasn't heard one peep about jack squat. I certainly appreciate LL calling me back, especially since it confirmed manunanu is a fabricating, false witness that likes to stir the pot and cry FOULLLLLL for the sake of being an idiot. |

great That was great. Good detail and I have no doubt about what LL said. Pretty funny about the Daktronics comment. Check some of the other conference web sites, most use another program, I think Statcrew, for their conference sites. What are the picks for the Jewell and MNU this week? They play back to back Thursday which is good. I say MNU by 6, Jewell by 20. |
