CHARACTER UPDATES
Upcoming Characters:
Jesse:
He's Isabel's secret new love interest. He's a lawyer in her dad's firm.
Isabel proposes to him in 3.3, and they plan to be married.
Some misbehavior occurs at his bachelor party.
Ferrini:
He’s in the Mafia. He warns Michael to tell Max to stop looking for the key.
He’s also the one who called the cops when Max and Liz were robbing the store.
Mr. Burns:
A new FBI agent. He warns Mr. Evans to forget about the whole toxic waste under the convenience store thing.

Liz Parker/Shiri Appleby:
Shiri wants Liz to be more of a happy, fun-loving kid and not cry in almost every episode.
Liz goes along with Max on the quest to find his son.
Liz has a new look too; in episode one she’s decked out in tight leather pants and Native American jewelry. Looks very similar to Future Liz.
Her parents forbid her to see Max. When she meets him several times on the sly, they threaten to send Liz to an eastern boarding school.
May be possessed by Tess in later episodes.
Max Evans/Jason Behr:
Max has a scruffier look. Unshaven, leather jacket, and a tattoo on his arm. Future Max, anyone? (to see Jason’s scruffy look, click here)
After a fight with his parents, Max moves out of the Evans home. He bunks up with someone surprising, and it’s not Michael.
With Michael, Max will try to talk Isabel out of the wedding.
There may be a Max clone at Meta-Chem.
Isabel Evans/Katherine Heigl:
Isabel has a new attitude and a new ‘do -- short brown hair. (To see Katie’s new style, click here.)
She won’t be going to a big college as hinted last fall. She’ll be at a community college.
Isabel’s back in a serious relationship, with Jesse.
Isabel dwells on her past bad history with men (all the men who’ve loved her have died), but ends up proposing to Jesse around episode three after dreamwalking him.
A journalist friend of Jesse’s might find out about Isabel’s true origins.
Kyle falls for Isabel as he helps prepare her for the wedding.
Max and Michael try to talk her out of it, but she goes ahead with the marriage.
At her wedding and on her honeymoon, Isabel encounters someone who may be possessed by the infamous Kivar.
Maria Deluca/Majandra Delfino:
She pursues her singing career against her mother’s wishes.
She joins Michael on a hunt for her father.
Michael Guerin/Brendan Fehr:
Michael wants to create a life for himself. He feels that he wasted a lot of living time while he was on a quest to go home, and now realizes that earth IS his home.
He winds up dropping out of school and getting a job as night watchman at a plant called Meta-Chem.
Along with Max, he tries to talk Isabel out of getting married.
He may discover a Max clone at Meta-Chem.
Kyle Valenti/Nick Wechsler:
Kyle becomes the family breadwinner when Jim decides to relive his youth.
With Isabel’s help, he creates an amazing science project.
Jim Valenti/William Sadler:
He’s still not sheriff, and has decided to put his old band back together.
While working as a P.I., Jim happens upon his ex-wife.
Tess is out there somewhere in the cosmos, and may return at a later date. But for the time being she’s gone.
Max suspects that Tess never made it "home".
Tess may posses Liz.
They’ve made up over the summer and are now partners in crime – and in the search for Max’s son.
After they are arrested, Liz’s parents deem Max a bad influence and forbid her from seeing Max. After Liz disobeys, they threaten to send Liz to an eastern boarding school.
Maria/Michael:
Michael helps Maria to try and find her father.
They get in a big fight when Michael is fired from his job, but soon make up.
Isabel/Jesse:
They’ve been having a secret summer romance. In episode 3.3, Isabel proposes to Jesse.
Kyle/Isabel:
Kyle discovers he has feelings for Isabel while helping her prepare for her upcoming wedding.

Season 3 will drop the hard sci-fi edge and return to character stories.
Changes come for everyone
The stories are getting a little bit out of high school.
He’s interested in playing out the family drama at the beginning of the season.
There’ll be a character arc for every character on the show.
Earth is the aliens’ permanent home.
They’ll still be doing other alien enemies, but they’ll be more consistent throughout the whole season.
BUSTED, Episode 3.1
October 16th, 2001 Written By: Jason Katims
Salina, UT, outside of a convenience store. Max and Liz are in the back of a Camero convertible, making out. Max asks Liz if she’s ready, she says she is. The pull on ski masks, Liz hefts a gun and they head into the store, where the clerk is smoking and watching an old TV.
Liz pulls the gun on the guy, right in his face, and tells him to get down on the floor. Max tells the clerk to listen to her; she’s crazy, as he disables the cameras with his powers. Liz is dealing with the guy while Max taps on the walls, looking for a hollow spot. He finds it and begins slicing the wall. We see that there’s someone outside, phoning the police. Max finds a steel door behind the wall and opens it with his powers, which awes the clerk who is being contained by Liz. But Liz hears the police coming. She runs over to where Max has uncovered a staircase behind the wall. They go down and see that they’ve found what they’ve been looking for, but will have to come back for it later. Max seals things up with his powers. They book for the doors, just as the police barge in. Max and Liz run for the car and peel out, but the police are firing at them and another squad car comes out of nowhere and cuts them off, blocking their escape. The police order them to get out of the car. Liz asks Max if his powers can help them, but obviously not since they get out of the car and are thrown to the ground.
Opening credits.
This episode is not one-dimensional. It’s overlapped between the past and the present.
Flashback at a carousal: Max is reassuring Liz that he's not going anywhere; the granolith is gone, and there's no way home. He says he wants to be with Liz. She asks about his son; this obviously pains him. He says that there's nothing he can do about his son, and he's accepted the fact that he's gone. He tells Liz that she's paid a lot to know him, and that he wants to make it up to her. He starts up the motor of the carousel with his powers, and it begins to move, music playing and lights flashing. Max: "I want to make your dreams come true, Liz. Can you let me do that?" Liz smiles. The white light from the carousel fills the screen and we flashforward to ... An officer taking Max's mug shot.
The confused and furious parents, who didn’t even know that the two were in Utah, as well as Isabel and Jesse (a lawyer from the Evans’ firm), have begun to arrive.
Michael is also in Utah. He stands under a giant billboard that reads: "Mormon Family Values: A Family Valued". (There are no billboards like that in Utah or anywhere else.) He’s looking for the key that Max and Liz hid there and is on a cell phone talking to his science teacher, Mr. Seligman. Mandatory attendance, respect for authority, etc. Michael finds they key while he is talking. Suddenly he turns and sees Ferrini (the mob goon who called the cops on Max and Liz). He is holding a gun pointed at Michael. Michael tells Mr. Seligman that he’ll call him back. Ferrini wants to know what Michael was talking about. Michael says that he is trying to graduate high school. Ferrini suggests that Michael get his GED. Michael scoffs at this. Ferrini says that he has a GED and is doing fine. "Nice career path," Michael quips. Ferrini asks what Michael has. Michael doesn’t give a straight answer until Ferrini cocks the gun at him. Michael hands it over. Ferrini examines it, doesn’t know what it is. He comments that there is some "weird shit going on around here". Ferrini wants to get down to business. He has a message from his boss for Max. His boss will stop at nothing to stop Max from looking for whatever it is he’s looking for. Insert assorted mob threat cliches. "Whatever, dude." Says Michael. Ferrini tells Michael, "don’t make me come back to Utah," tosses Michael the key, and drives off. Michael is relieved.
Maria screeches into the sheriff station parking lot, where Max and Liz are being held. She complains that "these people" need to go somewhere interesting the next time they get arrested. But no, "Mormons and mountains" is what they got.
Bad blood develops between the two families right from the start. Phillip Evans convinces the Parkers not to hire their own lawyers, because they’ll do better as a united front.
Flashback at the Crashdown:
Max is wearing a leather jacket and tougher clothes. Liz likes this. Max says that he feels weird in his old clothes. He says that he got the jacket at a thrift store in Hondo. Liz wants to go there, too.
Liz, now decked out in leather and Native American jewelry, and Max, are at a used car lot looking at a blue camaro convertible. The clerk says that the engine was burnt out in a fire. Max offers him \\$500.00 and the clerk scampers off to get the keys. While he's gone, Max repairs the engine with his powers as he explains things to Liz. Apparently Tess left some records on earth, and according to them there's a key on earth that will start the '47 spaceship. Max and Liz are looking for the key, which is in the posession of Shirley McLaine. Liz is skeptical about it working. Max finishes repairing the engine and says that if he can get the car running, he'll have no problem with the spaceship. The clerk runs out with the keys. Liz grabs them and they hop in the car, which starts right away. Max, driving, is having a lot of fun. He raises his arms and lets out a whoop of joy.
Shirley’s having a special party for a UFOlogist’s birthday, and Max and Liz are there. Max, in a tux, stands among millionaire UFO maniacs as they talk about aliens and UFOs. Dr. Solomon Browning is telling Max and a group of people that aliens, when at full intellectual maturity, are only as smart as a firefly. Max tells the group that he is an alien hybrid from the 47 crash and is no firefly. The doctor remarks that Max looks like an average homosapien. Liz walks up in a slinky backless black dress and tells Max that it’s time to go. Doctor tells Liz that her date is an alien. She laughs and says, "Oh, I knew that."
As they walk away, Liz asks what Max was telling them. He said that he told them everything because the millionaires have no credibility in the world. He says it felt freeing to let it all out. Liz tells Max that she’s found the key, and Max will be happy when he finds out where.
It’s in Shirley Maclaine’s bedroom. It’s all red satin sheets with candles everywhere. A display case with alien artifacts and other spiritual things is in a corner.
Max: "Tell me you’ll ever be in a better place to consummate anything."
Max and Liz are posing as wait staff at a party for Delores Browning, who has a collection of diamonds (one of which is the key). Max is serving a drink to Delores at the bar, flirting all the while, which makes Liz very annoyed. Liz tells Max off in front of the whole party, calling Delores a bimbo who is twice Max's age. A security guard tries to get Liz out of there, and she throws champagne in Delores' face. The place goes crazy. Max throws a security guard into a glass case with his powers. The case breaks and the diamond falls. Max dives to catch it, and gives it back to Delores (after making a switch that we don't see). Then he and Liz get out of there, Max apoligizing all the way.
Flash forward: Max and Liz making out, hot and heavy. They're interrupted by Liz's father, who's been looking for her (it's two in the morning). He hussles her out of the room, not at all happy.
Isabel and Jesse, in another room, are also having a secret rendezvous that makes it clear to the audience that something is going on there.
In the sheriff's station hearing room, Liz and Max plead not guilty. Max is free, as long as he goes home to New Mexico with his parents and doesn’t return to Utah until he’s 21. Everyone breathes a sigh of relief. But ... since Liz was the one in possession of a firearm, she is denied bail. Everyone is outraged. The Parkers feel like they've been sold down the river by Mr. Evans and Jesse. Jeff Parker hires his own lawyer who tries to get Liz to blame everything on Max, but refuses. Later, Max sneaks into the jail, wearing guard clothing, and offers to break Liz out with his powers, but she denies the offer since they’re already in enough trouble. She tells Max to go back and see if the ship works. He's touched. They kiss.
Max is walking back to the hotel. Burns, an FBI agent, is sitting outside waiting for him. He tells Max to stop and flashes his badge. He wants to know why Max picked Utah. He tells Max that if he was in the convenience store for any reason other than a run-of-the-mill robbery, "you and your girlfriend will not be happy juvenille delinquents." He walks off with the usual "you never met me" bit.
Max knocks on the door to one of the rooms. Michael answers in boxers and shirt. We see Maria asleep on the bed behind him. Max asks how things are going. Michael says that Maria was up all night crying about Liz. Max says he needs the diamond. Michael is scared because of the threats Ferrini made. But he goes over and gets the diamond anyway.
Max is very upset that Liz is being punished for his mission. He tells his father that there are toxic chemicals under the convenience store. His father goes and tests them, and sure enough they are. Mr. Evans shows the judge the evidence, and says that he's sure the FBI will be interested that dangerous chemicals are under a store that sells food, and that the store is on federal property. The Judge leaves for a moment and returns with Mr. Burns, then exists. Mr. Burns tells Phillip to get his nose out of this and forget what he’s seen. Phillip says that it'll be awfully hard to do if Liz is still in jail.
After Liz is released from prison, her parents forbid her from seeing Max ever again.
Mr. Evans and Max lock horns as a result of Max’s refusal to tell the whole story of the robbing. Max moves out of the Evans home.
Michael gets a job as night watchman at a shady Roswell company called Meta-Chem. He finds some new friends in the other young slacker watchmen. He discovers via his powers that his boss is stealing from the company he was hired to watch. There’s a big laugh in this episode involving Snapple, which Michael steals from the warehouse and gets fired for. Maria is way mad at him but they make up. Liz and Max meet in secret.
Isabel dreamwalks Jesse and thinks that he is about to propose to her. She freaks, remembering that all the men who have loved her have met untimely ends. Alex and possibly Grant make an appearance as ghosts to discuss the matter. Once she figures out that Jesse was not planning to propose, she does it herself.
At the end of the episode, Mr. Parker threatens to send Liz to an eastern boarding school if she continues to meet Max on the sly.
The episodes after 3.3 will center on Isabel’s wedding plans.
Misbehavior happens at Jesse’s bachelor party.
Michael discovers a clone of Max at Meta-Chem.

Aww, thanks guys. I love compiling. I'm crazy like that. This one took me two hours since I had to start from scratch, but I'm very pleased with the results.
I'll try to find some pictures of Katie and Jason -- I know there's one out there that has her with her new hair and Jason's grunge look.

I have to agree, Jason looks older. He did that for his role in the Shipping News. His character was supposed to be in his mid 30's Hopefully he removes it before Roswell begins filming. Just doesn't look like our Max.

I am glad you are posting it here. The way you write it up makes reading the spoilers so much easier. Of course it is more tempting to read them. I really was going to TRY and be spoiler free this season. Stop laughing Joe, I really was! See how far I got!

Thanks. It only took me 2 hours -- probably a record for starting from scratch. There was just info from those interviews with JK and Shiri and KH, and some stuff from Aint it Cool News, and some things from RNN.
I've got some more info to add, but I haven't done it yet. The summer hiatus made me lazy. :
On another note, I've recently become addicted to on-line shopping. Clothes shopping, that is. I can't stop! :

No, I don't work on Roswell. I get spoiler info from around the web, and I have a couple sources who DO work on Roswell. They send me info sometimes
Well, in the past I've had some problems with people taking the compilation and saying it was theirs, stuff like that. I used to compile on FF, but they changed things and gave the moderators the job of compiling. I don't want someone posting this compilation over there, since then I'd essentially still be compiling, just not getting the credit.
