Samuel Rising
Tina, okay I added this?

Here's a description from TVGuide.com:

Quote:

Roswell
Samuel Rising
60 min.

In a heart-tugging Christmas-themed episode, an autistic boy approaches a startled Max (Jason Behr) and speaks for the first time in years, prompting Max to question whether the child is a link to his own lost son. To find out, he involves himself in the boy's life.

In other events, Isabel (Katherine Heigl) is intent on making her first Christmas with Jesse (Adam Rodriguez) as perfect as possible while also trying to shepherd the annual holiday festival to success. To that end, she recruits Maria and Liz as elves to help Michael, who's playing the part of Santa. In addition, Kyle meets his father's new girlfriend for the first time.

*sigh* Can't poor Max get a normal holiday for once???? :lol

tap tap.. HELLO.. where is everyone??? KAREN? You usually get here first... and now its the next day and NO ONE has anything to say about this one?

All I can say is.. WOW Jason what a handsome man.... ok done.. that is it.. what a good job he did.. I am going to wait until Friday to really see him as him..

I have a few comments.. surprise surprise...
I LOVED the Shariff stuffing the turkey.. what a riot.. the whole head of lettuce just shoved in.. Great.. such a man thing...
I liked the Christmas Nazi.... just her facial reactions to the stocking was so funny... Her face catching Michael and Maria making out.. Good one again... Firing Santa and his elf on Christmas Eve. (wasn't it Christmas eve?)
Loved the ending..... Max and Liz... "your my family"...

It must not be on next week....
I must get out now.. and go shopping.. woo hoo.. I hate shopping.. Crowds.. etc... and its really a pain with 5 yr. old.. I know its not his idea of fun!!!
Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas...

A goal is a dream with a finish line!! :)

Hi everyone! <WAVE>

Good to see you, IMM! :D

Tomorrow morning I am off to Colorado for Christmas. Going to see the soon-to-be in-laws once more before the big day in July. ;) My honey is already out there and we may go skiing or snowmobiling while we are there. I'm excited and can't wait to get there. :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Now, on to some thoughts about last night's beautiful ep:

* "Hail the Christmas Nazi" :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

* Michael's comment to Max about him walking into the Crashdown would make Liz "hot" and the "see I told you look" when it did! :lol

* Isabel's face at Jesse's stocking

* Jesse's reactions to his *cough* lovely *cough* bride :lol He was great in this one.

* I laughed my butt off at Iz coming into the Elf House and firing M & M. And how Michael couldn't get up because his belt was stuck. LOL that he begged to be Santa! :eek And his Santa voice was funny.

* Maria and Liz looked cute in their elf costumes

* LOL at the way Liz walked over to Max & Samuel in her elf shoes

* The whole Samuel story was ok, but seemed too much like last year's trying to heal thing. Was touched at his dream towards the end though and the parents talking on the phone about it in the middle of the night. :)

* LOL at Isabel's "You're right, it's disgusting" comment to Kyle after seeing Jim and the girl together.

* Her comment about needing more snow, after all it is the and then her spraying on more snow everywhere! :lol

* I cracked up at Jim stuffing the whole head of lettuce into the turkey, too, Lisa! :lol

* Loved how Liz looked when she was decorating the Christmas tree on her roof towards the beginning.

* And of course, I loved the scene with Max and Liz at the skating pond -- his, "You're my family" statement, him holding onto Liz and almost falling over, their smiles, the snow, and then that magical kiss. *SIGH* :D

Yes, indeed, have yourself a merry little Christmas...

Re: Samuel Rising
Neeners, there's no way that my post will be as colorful as yours. :lol Feeling a little cheery???

Hey, IMM - I do usually post after the ep, but I finally got carpet installed in my bedroom that I have been remodeling since I moved 6 weeks ago and putting up my bed so I could abandon the couch seemed more appealing than commenting! :lol

Okay, some thoughts:

* We won't be seeing Shiri and Jason in the Ice Capades any time soon :lol I was waiting - hell, I was wanting one of them to fall on their keester. :)

* Michael just cracked me up, right from the first scene. Tina, when he made the comment about it making Liz "hot", I thought I had mis-heard him. When I realized he hadn't, I lost it. Did you see how embarrassed Max looked that he'd been right??? :lol

* Loved Michael making fun of Jesse for thinking he was going to watch football. Poor Jesse is so clueless.

* The Christmas Nazi wasn't as funny as last year, but I had to laugh at her on the rampage with the spray snow!

* "Snowflake, you're an elf -
Get over yourself." :lol

* Truth be told, Max stalking that little boy creeped me a bit...

* However, I thought Jason was wonderful when he thought he'd "healed" Samuel and realized that nothing was different. He has such wonderful facial expressions. I also liked Liz's assumption that Samuel wasn't sick, he was just different.

* :lol at Michael bonding with all of the eight year olds!

* I loved Michael's honesty with telling Maria he had manipulated being Santa because he didn't want to be alone for Christmas.

* Hey! Samuel's family lives in Brody's old house! (notice the night scene) Stock footage, anyone?

* Okay, Jim was with the turkey was funny enough, but when I realized he had on elbow-high rubber gloves and was packing that turkey as tight as he could (with whatever he could), I cracked up. :lol

* The story with the new girlfriend felt out of place and kind of unnecessary.

* I liked the scene where Max is talking to Samuel outside of the ice cream shop and we were seeing things from Samuel's eyes - we could hear what Max was saying, but we were seeing all of the distractions instead. Neat.

* Nice use of Isabel's powers. I liked her comment about Samuel's mind being "beautiful."

In all, not bad. Liked last year's better, but as Hercules said - how do you top Max nearly killing himself to save a ward full of sick kids?

Hey, Tina, a little "Silent Night" for us! ;)

And here is a trivia question - what movie is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" from, and who sang it? Hint - it's not a Christmas movie. ;)

Feliz Navidad, everyone!

Re: Samuel Rising
Here's a hint - it's an old movie, it has a city's name in it's title and the person who sang the song died of an overdose some time in the 60's. ;)

I thought of a couple of things -

* Why didn't Max introduce Liz as his girlfriend, and why didn't it upset her that he didn't?

* Why hasn't Max gotten a "signal" from his son in over a month?

Re: Samuel Rising
IMM - M&M were sitting on that porch on Christmas Eve. M&L were skating on Christmas night. The Valentis were supposed to be having breakfast Christmas morning. I was originally going to list that whole montague as a blooper, but I think it was intentional.

The move was "Meet Me in St. Louis" and the person who sang the song was Judy Garland. ;)

Happy Holidays
