Satanism - Devilworship - Ku Klux Klan
Today At Work, I Opened Up To Some Co-Workers About Being A Satanist...Surprisingly Enough, Most Of Them Was Listening To What I Had To Say.
But Obviously There Is A Small Majority Who Still Seem To Think I Am A Devilworshipper...Even AFTER Explaining The Difference...I Was Then Accused By A Young Black Female Of Being Part Of The K-K-K.
I Thought It Was Absurd As I Have Nothing Against Anyone Regardless Of Race/Sex/Sexuality/Nationality.
Has Anyone Else Been Accused Of Being In With The K-K-K
Because I Have Never Even Accosiated Satanism With The K-K-K

You should ask her very nicely but with an obvious look of utter bewilderment how she has the two linked in her mind and then tell her with a great deal of confidence that she is mistaken.
In my view racism is equal to ignorance and if intelligence is the mark of a good satanist then it is anathema to satanism.
Man, how the hell do you arrive at the idea that satanism and the KKK are linked?
Especially when the KKK are zany christians. I mean that's what the cross lighting thing is meant to be about isn't it? Glorifying the crucifixion with fire.
I suppose she assumes that satanism is homophobic too?
If she still doesn't believe you then keep cool and polite but urge her to read the satanic bible and judge for herself. If she still thinks it is racist after that then not only will I be happy to ask her why myself but I would have to conclude that she's an idiot.

And if she refuses to read it, then tell her that you find it regrettable that you should have to tell her that it is her, and not you, who is guilty of prejudice because if she would rather form a judgement based on hearsay and propaganda instead of information from the source then she's the one who fits the profile, and that it's ironic because you would never have judged her before getting to know her, and you're the satanist.

The exhibition of a sense of humour is the best way to go about these sort of things. If you can laugh off the insults and jokes, you are far more powerful than your attackers. If you laugh with them, make a blatantly condescending statement disguised by a little mirth, you'll get a reaction that puts people right in the palm of your hand.
ESPECIALLY the small minded who can't think for themselves. Once you ostracize them from the comfort of their work mates, they'll be far more open to new ideas.

Why would anyone care about the ignorance of non-Satanists?
We have chosen to associate ourselves with the ultimate dark power, as it were, so surely we must EXPECT people to think bad things of us. People will make up the most astounding rubbish about us, but as long as we make it clear we are doing nothing illegal, why should we give a damn what anyone else thinks?
I have no interest in making Satanism "accepted" because I simply do not care what anyone else thinks of it for the simple reason that I have CHOSEN to be a shunned outsider.

If it really does bother you that people make false accusations because you are a Satanist, and it is causing you serious mental harm, then DO NOT TELL ANYONE YOU ARE A SATANIST!

Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
By calling yourself a Satanist, you invite insults. If you don't like it, keep it a secret.
This has the added advantage of having a "secret" Satanic underground - anyone could be a Satanist

Welcome to the board.
This all comes down to personal preferences.
Some satanists do not bring up that they are satanists just because they don't tend to get into discussions about religion. Others don't because they don't want to invite criticism. Other satanists let people know because they are proud of what they are and some like to spread the word.
It should come as no surprise to any satanist that people assume the worst of them but if you are uncomfortable with the idea of people around you assuming that you are a rascist a homophobe or a terrorist or whatever then you have the right to explain to those who challenge you that their asumptions are erroneous.
To be a good satanist I will play devil's advocate. Perhaps it is in our best interests to intelligently refute these foolish assumptions because whenever there is a spate of satanic panic it may be your ass that's hauled up for a crime you didn't commit, all because people know or even suspect (which is usually all the evidence they need) that you are a child-killing, granny-raping, gay-bashing, white-supremecist satanist - the only kind of satanist there is.
i would just say this a true satanist will not waste time on ingrate's but if this girl is a worthy person say you are not only not a member of the kkk but in all respects non discriminatory to anyone but the week and pathetic
