Sounds like the message was written in a language your computer doesn't understand. If it were written with a Cyrillic typeface or in Chinese, for example, your computer wouldn't be able to display it, unless you had multi-language support enabled.

You can block the sender of the message by going to the Message tab in Outlook Express and selecting Block Sender. Any additional emails from that person will go directly to your Deleted Items folder.
