Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
(A short explanation first: Taerawyn is only an alternate side of Starbliss herself. She isn't in this form the goddess of FW, only an elven fairy, royal lineage.. but still. She is connected to SB, but in a way is her. She is sort of like... a person to portray another feeling of SB's.. ya'kno? Hehe, anyways, any questions, then post and ask.)

*Taer was only out for a contemplative stroll in her own secluded woods when her thoughts had been turned to those of uncertainty; no doubt triggered by the feelings of Starbliss herself, hidden away and stored in her own soul. Her lovely forest green eyes widened as she was 'hit' with a new upsurge of confusion, of loss.. and it was then that a heavy gust of wind blew towards her. She parted her lips to scream in horror, but it was too late... for it had already come, swallowing her up. All animals and fairies were connected to her, and with her dissapearance, a great crowd was to quickly gather at where she had fallen. Except when the blackish dust cleared away, there was nobody there... and only the imprint of her feet.*

*The magical gust of wind that had come upon her so suddenly brought her to the dead forest. A forest not to be found on any map that was distributed to the citizens of the realm... for it existed in another dimension. A cold chill swept along to wipe away clean the dust... although it made her considerably colder than she had been before. She shivered involuntary, though it was brought not only from the cold, but from the obvious lack of life here. It was a stranger to her to not feel the life in these woods and a deep sadness filled her eyes, burdening her more than she was already. Filled with senses of betrayal, death, sadness, and a faint ember of hope that was awaited a burning torch to alight it… she wrapped her arms around herself as if it would help against this chill she felt.*

*Her gaze shifted again and again over the long since dead trees, yet still standing tall they were. She came upon nothing green, all were charred.. grey.. black.. It made her seem almost out of place with her soft spring colours, a soft emerald they all were, her golden green hair.. and her eyes of jade. Her underskirt of autumn leaves.. her lovely wreath to crown her head. She felt an urge to cry, but the tears would not come and she walked on in a suffocating silence.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*Aconite hovered above her home, a lake of a thick tary substance. Her eyes were closed and her head was down. She lifted her head for a moment as a new soul arrived. Many people came, but most did not have the power that this one gave off. Consumed in curiousity, Aconite flew silently towards the sorce of power. When she found Taerawyn, she was a bit surprised. An Elvin fairy giving off that sort of power? She flew to the woman but stopped short. She knew who it was. Starbliss in another form, a more... vulnorable form as it seemed. 'It's amazing how an older person can look so weak compared to Starbliss' she thought. She stared at the back of Taerawyn's head and thought about waiting for her to turn towards her. Her murky green eyes almost filled with tears of pity, for the silent screams were not silent to her. They were actually quite loud. She was used to this, but this one's scream was not just full of saddness for being lost, but for a current situation. And she knew exactly what it was.*
"You are lucky that you have such strong connections to the outside world..."

*She stopped waiting for the effect of her words to sink in.*

"...or else I would have to kill you..."

*She stopped again to sense something...but there was barely anything to sense. The girl had little hope.*

"Or maybe not. You don't take up too much room."

*She gave an almost friendly smile and waited for an answer to this limited hope she had.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*Her sharp elven ears picked up quickly the sounds of those dry wings flying toward her and she paused in her steps, more alert now. She had not realized that there would be a living creature here... not in such a dead forest... As a voice traveled the short distance between them and settled within her ears to resound in her mind she would tense. She wasn't afraid of this new voice, although to confirm this she would have to see who exactly was speaking to her. She turned, no trace of a hesitation in her graceful pivot.*

*What met her gaze was another fairy.. not elven in nature... that much was apparent to her.. but one that had a different aura. While hers was of nature, this one had one of something different.. something that she couldn't quite place. She would offer a small smile toward her though as she spoke, her own voice so filled with life sounding so strange in this wood.*

"No... I don't.."

*Her first words were slow, as if she were still thinking of what words to next say in response, although a confidence she didn't quite feel completely was to be brought out in her voice.*

"Who are you?"

*It was a bit blunt she could freely admit, although it wasn't a question to be ashamed of as she stood there.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She paused for a moment thinking of an answer. She was so many people. Her true name was not going to be uttered again; at least not by her.*

"I am Aconite, the Lost Fairy."

*She waited again but then added more to her comment.*

"Or the Spirit of Connection, if you like."

*She looked at Taerwyn with a wonderment. Her low amount of hope almost worried her. She couldn't help her back, yet anyway, nor could she kill her. Though something told her she wouldn't have anyway.*

"You must get home, fairy. Your connections will only keep you safe from me. There is more in this forest. You do not need any more to suck all the hope out of you, or else...you'll end up like me. I'm pretty sure you do not want that, hm?"

*She knew that this Elvin fairy was needed to keep thousands of connection in tack. She couldn't risk her ending up dead or worse.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*The words were to echo off the hollow trunks of the trees around and she shivered again, nodding slowly. She wished now that she had been wearing a cloak when she'd gone out for her walk, for now she could've used it. The name and titles that Aconite offered were ones that would sound dimly familiar to her... although she knew that she'd never heard it before.. or had she? It was so hard to have so many forms, yet such a relief as well. So then it was Starbliss that knew her then... and perhaps that was why she sounded familiar. She shrugged it off, not wanting to think about the goddess right now. Though they were in a way one soul, it could become a burden at times like this.*

"Oh.. it's nice to meet you Aconite; I'm Taerawyn.."

*She wasn't sure that it was exactly all that 'nice' to have met her.. especially not in a place like this, but she couldn't help it. She looked away from the fairy and around herself. The trees were whispering, and although dead, their spirits seemed to wander these parts. It was so eerie, her first time to first so close these feelings of death. The ties that strung her to all other creatures in the realm were numb... her heart so cold... she knw that it was her 'duty' to stay alive.. but who knew it could get so hard.. She sighed, her gaze dropping to the ground, ashamed. She would have freely blamed her presense here on that gust of wind, although inside she knew that it was herself who'd made it come.*

"Home.. shouldn't this forest be my home as well?"

*She knew that it wasn't, yet it hurt to stand.. it hurt to know about a place like this existed. A silent cry was in her voice, although hidden under several layers of defiance, it was rising quickly up. She couldn't even think straight anymore.. it was so confusing.. and it hurt so much..*

"Where am I?"

*She finally asked to break the silence between them, looking up.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*Aconite watched Taerwyn's face as she thought silently. 'She's thinking of death' Aconite thought. She wondered if the fairy was really connected so strongly to Starbliss. It' seemed impossible, they were very different. She laughed at the thought of this Elvin fairy living here. She'd be dead in a few days, she was sure.*

"You are in the dead forest. A forest hidden from any map. It is the place where lost people find themselves. You, my visitor, are lost in almost the same since I am. Your soul is losing it's way... keep in mind though, there are many who would be glad to help you find your way back. But don't have too much hope. Oh... and your death won't solve anything, not even your suffering. It will just cause more. Even for me."

*I hate the word hope, she thought. She looked at Taerwyn and waited patiently for an answer. Her murky green eyes didn't flicker as she stared.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She listened to the fairys words with no determinable expression upon her face. A loose ember of hope was dim within her green eyes and it suddenly occured to her that they weren't much different.. Oh yes we are.. She ignored her objecting thoughts as they all floated away, continuing to think. So my soul is losing itself eh? Wandering? I know that I can't just die.. and let down everyone.. but still.. She sighed, disgusted with herself and the way she was feeling.. but wasn't it only natural? She didn't know what to do..*

"Then what would you suggest?"

*She said it bluntly enough, straightforward now as she met the fairys gaze. Her hope was rekindling itself as inside that part of Starbliss she held grew stronger and more confidant. But it lay still true that no one person could feel perfectly confidant.. there was always that hidden doubt somewhere..*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*An amused smile was to form upon Aconite's lips.*

"That, is a question that I cannot answer. You, my dear, do not seem to desperately want to go back. You may fear this place, but you fear something else more. So until you want to go back, I cannot help you. Which also means, you cannot help your friends. And they need you. I don't understand why though..."

*Her voice trailed off, thinking about friendship and how it could be so important. She just didn't understand it. She looked back at Taerwyn, her murky green eyes unfocused, like she could see right to her soul.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*A look of confusion would cross her eyes as she spoke, her gaze not daring to meet the others, for fear of what she might be reflected there.*

"I know they need me.. it's just.."

*She sighed deeply, wishing that there was someone there to guide her... to tell her what to do, even though she knew that she would have to do this herself.. She sat down against a tree, pulling her knees up and looking up to the sky. She looked right back down after a moment though... for there was nothing there to see at all..*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*Her smile lingered for a moment but was to quickly fall back to her strait unfeeling place. She looked at Taerawyn.*

"It's just too hard..."

*She said in a monotone voice. Her job was hard too. And this lucky fairy could end it, but she couldn't. She was immortal, it wasn't fair. Taerawyn could escape, she could die.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She slowly raised her gaze, tilting her head and looking up, one simple word to slip past her lips.*

"Friends?"

*It was considerally random, although she needed someone for her right now.. and she felt that the fairy needed someone as well.. And perhaps maybe they could bet here for each other. She ignored the other's blank cold stare, not quite believing that that was how it had been before.. and then waiting.. patiently.. hopefully.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She stood aghast at the fairy's question. She had never been asked anything like that since before. She began to smile but quickly remembered what -before- was. Suddenly she was there again; it all happened in a flash. Fleeing through the forest, flying through the portal, holding on to Jerald and her child, the river of blood, and the dead child in her arms. She couldn't let anyone become close again. She'd lose them, she knew it. Everyone she loved had been taken from her. It wouldn't happen again.*

"I will help you back... come."

*She held out her hand and waited.*

"You shall not be hurt."

*It was more of a promise to herself than to Taerawyn. A promise she would keep.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She returned the briefly given smile with one of her own.. one that showed friendship, and a trust that she hoped she would not deny her. She recognized that flicker in Aconite's eyes that told that she wasn't ... here-here.. and then that focusing gaze that told when she had returned. Someday she would question upon it.. but for now.. she would stay quiet. She rose to her feet and took the other's hand, her eyes shining their thankfulness even as she said it out loud to her.*

"Thank you Aconite... I'll make it up to you someday.. promise."

*She looked ahead now, the dead forest no longer to seem so threatening as before, although her guard was still up.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She grasped Taerawyn's hand and flew gently up. She turned and began to fly faster, toward her home. As they reached the lake she stopped above it. She was sure Taerawyn wouldn't like this, but that's how she'd get home. She turned to Taerawyn and nodded her head in a solemn goodbye. She lifted her head and closed her eyes. The bare branches of the trees began to rustle as a quick and powerful wind aproached. A music in a minor key filled the air, coming from Aconite herself, though she didn't even open her mouth to sing. The music became louder as the wind came closer. She let go of Taerawyn and the fairy fell, for she did not have enough time to react. The wind picked her up inches before she hit the lake and swept her into the air. As the dust settled she was gone. All things that ever showed she was there, counting her footprints. Only herself and Taerawyn knew about her...visit.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She would look down below to the ground as they flew up, her wings flapping gently in their makeshift breeze, confused slightly as they stopped above the lake. She looked to Aconite, suddenly realizing what her intent was, quickly saying.*

"Wait.. how do I find you again?"

*That was before she would start falling, closing her eyes tightly as she floated in a way to the lake, sure that she would hit it. She still trusted Aconite, and knew within that her intent had not been to drown her, but to help, and she only listened the best she could to the fairy's reply.. if it came. She certainly didn't want to wait until she felt the way she had about this to see her again..*

*And then... she lay in the grass, far from where she had first dissapeared.. although it wasn't long before the animals and creatures felt her presence again and raced over to her with soft whimpers, nuzzles, and welcomings. She shook her head as she smiled reassuringly to them, petting them... she would then stand slowly, her head turned to the sunset.. remembering.. as if somehow she might see Aconite there far beyond.. although she knew she wouldn't. She closed her eyes as she turned her head down.. and then opened them again.. smiling. It had seemed that the fairy had done nothing to help her feelings, although she had... she had.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She heard Taerawyn's question but could not answer in time. She waited until she could feel that she was home. Then she sent a message to her, for she is the Spirit of Connection.*

"I will come to you when you need it."

*Her voice echoed off the trees in her forest and would soon reach the forest of Taerawyn, where only she would hear it.
Taerawyn had helped her too... Aconite had to take care of their connection now, which was fine with her.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*She would smile as the answer finally reached her where she was and she nodded, an answering whisper to reach her in her realm so far away.. yet so.. close.*

"Ok.."

*She knew that even though so much space seperated them.. that Aconite would hear her quiet assent to this. It wasn't the answer, the directions.. that she had been hoping for, but that was to be expected. What she did tell her was perhaps the wiser decision.. and one that she appreciated. She was content standing there... in knowing that she had eased her heart... gained a friend.. and was simply standing here.. hidden in the tall grasses where everything was so... wondrously alive.*

*She hoped that someday she could reach out to Aconite.. when she figured it out.. and pull her out of her dead realm and bring her again the wonders of life itself.. which she was sure she must've experienced sometime or another.. And as for Starbliss.. well.. it should no longer be as hard for the other half of her to face the priestess and right these wrongs that plagued this realm.*

Re: Stumbling Upon an Unknown Realm
*As the small answer reached her realm, Aconite turned to look at her home. The sun was setting, and it sent a beautiful orangish red glow throughout the sky. It was the first colorful thing this forest had ever seen. Aconite slowly desended to her lake. She dissappeared under the tar, completely missing the single green leaf growing on one tree.*
