I don't know about the rest of you, but looking at the newest copy of MAXIM, with Shakira's picture on the cover makes me want to rip her clothes off and devour her!!!
If you feel like it, pick up a copy of VANCE PACKARD's "The Hidden Pursuaders"...

Well just as I feared, all of you have missed my point entirely...
Yeah, that wench Shakira is cute enough, but as a professional strip-club DJ, Heavy Metal Rockband singer/frontman, and my brief, yet very-instructive administrative tenure at a password-cracking site for testing the security of adult sites to eliminate weak username-password combinations....TRUST ME....I've ALREADY seen the sexiest women alive on the face of this Earth.
Shakira's picture *should* do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me.....yet it does.
THIS tells me without a doubt that something is operating BEHIND the scenes, that unquestionably has an arousing effect upon me...
The word SUBLIMINAL means, "beneath a CONSCIOUS level of awareness".....although we aren't normally aware of it, we are being SEDUCED, and driven to behave in various ways by the advertising agencies, and the illusive devices that they employ.
As far back as the 1960's, authors like Marshal McCluhan and Vance Packard wrote about the methods that the "masters of media" were using, to make the public unconciously do their bidding.
Search GOOGLE sometime for "The Hidden Persuaders"....(including quotes "" )...if you'd care to see some of the sites & controversial discussions that Vance Packard's now 40-year-old book has spawned.
Hey Marie...if you really get turned on by MATT HARDY, you should come to Seattle...half of the people I see these days look a LOT like Matt Hardy~!
...only trouble there is, just like the REAL Matt Hardy, it's pretty hard to tell whether they're a man or a woman. I even saw one Matt Hardy look-alike today with a full set of sideburns!!!
I looked down upon its punyness with my best DEAD MAN WALKING scowl, looking for some definite clue as to it's gender, but the little beyotch quickly tucked it's tail between it's spindly legs and scurried out of my path, without even offering to meet me in a Ladder Match.

Haha read Fred Phol's "Venus Inc" if you want a look at what we will become unless some limits are imposed on advertising. His whole two-book series is about advertising on Earth and what it does to people. Well, in the future, when ad companies have become the dominant force in the economy. One of his characters gets nixed by subsonic zone advertising and hypnosis into being addicted to Mokie-Cokes. Another is addicted to collectables. In contrast there is Venus, with an advertising ban. Thier signs read "dont eat these tomatoes, they are bad", etc, in contrast to Earth's never ending sales pitches. It steals a lot of ideas from the research in subliminal programming and advertising, its a good read.
