I LOVE 'Illinois'.
I play it pretty regularly... well, as regularly as I play anything, really.
I wish he's stick to his original idea and make more 'state' albums.
Maybe Wisconsin? Indiana? Who knows?
I borrowed 'Michigan' from another library and burned myself a copy, but I haven't listened to it yet, so I have no opinion on that one.

He's just fun.
I think I'm going to look up a few of his other available albums this evening.

Sufjan has a nice little spead in Rolling Stone (The Yearbook issue, for those of us that get our subscriptions weeks later than others.)

Re: Sufjan Stevens
I'm well aware that there are some things that I'm bad at, and pronounciation is definitely one of them (spelling is another). So, would someone be a dear and let me know how to pronounce Sufjan's name? I've been saying it the way it's spelt, Suf (rhyming with "poof")- Jan (as in the female name). Am I way off? I've only seen it spelt and have never actually heard it.
Thanks and sorry about the dumb question... I'm probably pronoucing Teitur wrong, too. (I say it with the German phonetics, Ty-tur) In contrast, I've been saying Nietzche with an "ee" rather than the german rules, "uh." That's what I get for reading more than listening...
